A **Senior Accounts Manager** in a real estate construction company is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, managing accounting teams, and supporting business decisions through accurate financial reporting.

- *Job Summary**
The Senior Accounts Manager will lead the accounting and finance functions for the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, taxation, and cash flow management. The role requires extensive experience in real estate and construction accounting, including project accounting, contractor payments, GST, TDS, and financial controls.
- *Experience : 10 to 18 Years**
- *Key Responsibilities :** Financial Accounting \& Reporting
- Oversee day\-to\-day accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage the month\-end and year\-end closing process.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and inter\-company transactions.
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Project Accounting
- Monitor project\-wise budgets, costs, revenues, and profitability.
- Track work\-in\-progress (WIP), project expenditures, and cost allocations.
- Analyze project financial performance and provide management reports.
- Coordinate with project managers for cost monitoring and budget control.
Taxation \& Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns.
- Monitor compliance with Companies Act, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
- Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.
Accounts Payable \& Receivable
- Review contractor bills, vendor invoices, and customer receivables.
- Ensure timely processing of payments and collections.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Verify subcontractor bills and contract compliance.
Treasury \& Cash Flow Management
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and working capital plans.
- Monitor fund utilization and liquidity.
- Coordinate with banks regarding loans, guarantees, and banking facilities.
- Optimize cash management and payment scheduling.
Budgeting \& Financial Planning
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Support strategic financial planning and investment decisions.
- Prepare MIS reports for senior management.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and review team performance.
- Implement best accounting practices and internal controls.
- Conduct training and support continuous professional development.
Internal Controls \& Risk Management
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Improve accounting processes through automation and ERP utilization.
- *Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 10–15 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in the real estate or construction industry.
- *Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of construction and project accounting.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally Prime, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
