Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer

• *Ciklum** is looking for a **Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer** to join our team full\-time in India.

• *About the role:**

As a Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer, become a part of a cross\-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

• *Responsibilities:**

• Design and build identifier extraction and intent detection (DOI, ISSN, ISBN, title) for free\-text requests using Azure OpenAI within Kore.ai flows
• Build an evaluation set from 200 to 300 labelled historic requests and produce an accuracy report
• Define prompts, guardrails, confidence thresholds and fallback to human routing
• Work with the conversation designer on structured intake and deflection logic
• Connect model outputs to the Snowflake coverage check and the ticket routing rules
• Support SIT and UAT, triage model defects and tune performance
• Document the model design, PII handling and monitoring for handover
• Contribute to demos, design reviews and the Cycle 1 learning report

• *Requirements:**

• 5\+ years in AI/ML engineering, including 2\+ years building production LLM solutions
• Hands\-on experience with Azure OpenAI or similar, covering prompt engineering, structured outputs and entity extraction
• Proven ability to build evaluation sets and measure precision, recall and accuracy
• Experience with conversational AI platforms (Kore.ai preferred; Boost.ai, Dialogflow or similar also relevant)
• Python, REST APIs and working knowledge of SQL and Snowflake
• Understanding of PII, GDPR and responsible AI practice
• Strong English, and able to explain model behaviour to non\-technical stakeholders
• Nice to have: contact centre automation experience, or knowledge of bibliographic metadata
