• *About the Role**

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in statutory audits to join our team in Mumbai. The selected candidate will work on audit engagements for an Australian audit firm, gaining exposure to international audit practices and professional standards.

The role involves executing audit procedures, analysing financial information, preparing and reviewing financial statements, evaluating disclosures, and contributing to the overall quality of audit engagements.

Candidates with strong statutory audit experience and familiarity with IFRS or Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) are encouraged to apply. Hands\-on experience with CaseWare audit software will be a significant advantage.

This position requires working from our Ghatkopar East office in Mumbai. Applications are invited only from candidates currently based in Mumbai who are comfortable with a full\-time, office\-based arrangement.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Evaluate business operations, understand key financial reporting risks, identify potential areas of material misstatement, and develop risk\-focused audit plans and procedures.
• Perform substantive testing and critical analysis of financial information, investigate significant movements and unusual transactions, assess the reasonableness of financial estimates, and draw evidence\-based audit conclusions.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS, ensuring appropriate presentation, classification, consistency, and completeness.
• Research complex accounting matters under IFRS, assess appropriate accounting treatment, and evaluate the adequacy of financial statement disclosures.
• Draft audit reports, communicate audit findings to management, and evaluate the financial reporting implications of identified issues.
• Maintain audit documentation, coordinate with the Australian audit team, address review queries, and ensure timely completion of audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
