Senior AWS Platform Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced **Senior AWS Platform Engineer** with deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and production\-grade platform engineering. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands\-on experience designing, building, automating, securing, and operating scalable cloud\-native platforms supporting high\-throughput, business\-critical applications.

This role requires a strong background in **AWS, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Terraform, CI/CD, cloud networking, observability, and production reliability**, along with the ability to manage complex distributed systems and microservices environments. The successful candidate will work closely with DevOps, SRE, application engineering, security, and architecture teams to improve platform scalability, availability, performance, and operational efficiency.

• *Important:** A minimum of 8 years of hands\-on AWS experience is mandatory. Candidates must be available to join immediately and work from the client location in Electronic City, Bengaluru, five days a week.

• *Key Responsibilities:\-**

1\. AWS Cloud \& Platform Engineering

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and maintain production\-grade cloud platforms supporting enterprise applications and distributed workloads.
• Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, Amazon MSK, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and cloud resource utilization.

2\. Kubernetes \& Amazon EKS

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Amazon EKS clusters in production environments.
• Own end\-to\-end Kubernetes platform operations, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, scaling, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Implement container orchestration, workload scheduling, deployment strategies, and platform reliability practices.
• Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes, networking, resource utilization, and application connectivity issues.

3\. Infrastructure as Code \& Automation

• Develop and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code modules using Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows using Ansible and related tools.
• Establish consistent, repeatable, and version\-controlled infrastructure deployment practices.
• Improve platform engineering efficiency through automation and standardization.

4\. CI/CD \& Release Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Integrate testing, validation, security checks, and deployment controls into delivery workflows.
• Improve release reliability, deployment frequency, rollback capability, and operational consistency.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish effective DevOps and continuous delivery practices.

5\. Distributed Systems \& Data Platforms

• Support cloud\-native microservices and distributed applications operating at high scale.
• Manage platform integrations involving Kafka/Amazon MSK, RDS PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis/ElastiCache, S3, and OpenSearch.
• Troubleshoot performance, latency, connectivity, and reliability issues across distributed components.
• Ensure platform capabilities meet the requirements of high\-throughput and mission\-critical production systems.

6\. AWS Networking \& Cloud Security

• Configure and troubleshoot AWS VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and network connectivity.
• Implement secure cloud infrastructure aligned with IAM, least\-privilege access, and organizational security policies.
• Apply cloud security, compliance, and infrastructure hardening practices.
• Support secure access management, secrets protection, and controlled infrastructure changes.

7\. Observability, Reliability \& Production Support

• Implement and maintain monitoring, metrics, logging, alerting, and dashboards using Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Monitor platform health, identify performance bottlenecks, and proactively address reliability risks.
• Lead complex incident troubleshooting, root\-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Drive improvements in availability, resilience, capacity management, and operational readiness.

• *Mandatory Skills \& Experience:\-**

• 10–14 years of overall experience in DevOps, AWS Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• **Minimum 8 years of hands\-on AWS experience — mandatory.**
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Demonstrated expertise in end\-to\-end Kubernetes platform management.
• Hands\-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, and/or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, including VPC, subnets, routing, and security controls.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and deployment engineering.
• Practical experience with Kafka/Amazon MSK, RDS, Redis/ElastiCache, S3, EC2, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and high\-availability architectures.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and compliance practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and support high\-volume, mission\-critical production environments.
• Strong analytical, incident\-management, communication, and problem\-solving skills.

Pay: ₹2,800,000\.00 \- ₹3,200,000\.00 per year
