Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and

maintain scalable, secure, and high\-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate

will have strong expertise in modern Node.js technologies, cloud\-native architectures,

event\-driven systems, and API development. Experience in healthcare technology or FHIR\-

based interoperability is an added advantage.

You will work closely with product managers, architects, and cross\-functional engineering

teams to build enterprise\-grade applications that are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.

Key Responsibilities

 Design and develop scalable backend services using TypeScript, Node.js (v20\+), and

NestJS.

 Build and maintain RESTful and WebSocket APIs for high\-performance applications.

 Develop microservices and event\-driven architectures using Kafka and AWS services.

 Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.

 Build secure authentication and authorization solutions using OAuth2/OIDC.

 Implement caching, messaging, and asynchronous processing using Redis and Kafka.

 Develop cloud\-native applications leveraging AWS serverless technologies.

 Write clean, maintainable, and well\-tested code following engineering best

practices.

 Create comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest.

 Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and

infrastructure automation.

 Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.

 Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability and

performance.

Preferred Qualifications

 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

 Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservice architectures.

 Experience building secure, scalable cloud\-native applications.

 Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

 Excellent problem\-solving and communication skills.
