Oxford University Press is looking for a Senior Campaign Executive, Digital Advertising to support the delivery of impactful digital advertising campaigns across our Academic Marketing division. This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional who enjoys combining analytical thinking, creativity, and technical expertise to deliver measurable campaign results.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing paid digital advertising campaigns that support strategic marketing goals. Working closely with marketers and digital advertising specialists, you will have the opportunity to influence campaign performance, drive engagement, and contribute to the continued growth of OUP's global academic publishing business.

The position offers exposure to a wide range of digital advertising platforms, campaign formats, and optimisation techniques, while providing opportunities for continuous learning and development within a collaborative and supportive marketing environment.

Opportunity – the ‘what’

As a Senior Campaign Executive, Digital Advertising, you will develop tactical campaign plans and execute PPC and digital advertising activities that support marketing objectives and maximise return on investment.

  • *Key responsibilities include:**
  • Developing tactical plans for digital advertising activity to achieve marketing goals.
  • Executing digital marketing campaigns across key advertising platforms using a variety of ad formats and campaign types.
  • Continuously monitoring, analysing, and optimising campaigns to improve engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Collaborating closely with marketers across Academic Marketing teams to provide campaign feedback, recommendations, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Following digital advertising best practices and campaign execution standards established by the Digital Advertising Manager.
  • Ensuring all campaigns and projects meet high quality standards and align with OUP brand and messaging guidelines.
  • Undertaking ongoing training to stay current with platform developments, emerging trends, and new approaches to digital advertising.
  • Delivering campaigns accurately, efficiently, and within agreed service levels and timelines.
  • Maintaining effective stakeholder communication by providing clear updates, reporting, and campaign insights.
  • Developing a strong understanding of digital advertising KPIs and optimising campaigns to improve metrics such as cost per click, click\-through rates, website traffic, user engagement, submissions, and database acquisition.

This role plays an important part in ensuring that digital advertising campaigns support business and marketing objectives across the Academic division. By delivering high\-quality campaigns, optimising performance, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders, you will help maximise campaign impact, improve audience engagement, and drive measurable results.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Understanding of digital advertising platforms and the various advertising options available to maximise ROI.
  • Experience executing effective marketing campaigns against a defined brief.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders while providing clear campaign updates.
  • Strong time management, organisational, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high\-quality campaign execution.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working within publishing or a related industry.
