Senior CFAPI Specialist

We are seeking an experienced **CFAPI Specialist** with strong hands\-on expertise in Microsoft's Cloud Files API (CFAPI), C\#, and Windows operating system internals to design, develop, and maintain high\-performance cloud\-based file synchronization solutions.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience developing Windows\-based file sync clients, implementing cloud storage integration, and working extensively with Windows APIs, file system operations, asynchronous programming, and multithreading.

This role requires specialized CFAPI development experience. Candidates with only general C\#, .NET, or Windows application development experience without practical CFAPI implementation will not be considered a suitable match.

• *Key Responsibilities:\-**

• *1\. CFAPI Development \& Implementation**

• Design, develop, and maintain Windows\-based file synchronization clients using Microsoft's Cloud Files API (CFAPI).
• Implement Sync Root registration, placeholder creation, hydration, dehydration, pinning, unpinning, and synchronization state management.
• Work with CFAPI functions, including:
• CfRegisterSyncRoot
• CfConnectSyncRoot
• CfCreatePlaceholders
• CfExecute
• CfHydratePlaceholder
• CfDehydratePlaceholder
• CfSetPinState
• CfSetInSyncState
• Implement Fetch Data and Fetch Placeholders callbacks.

• *2\. Windows API \& System\-Level Integration**

• Develop robust integrations with Windows APIs, Windows Shell, and NTFS file system components.
• Work with C\#, P/Invoke, and Windows interoperability mechanisms.
• Handle file operations, file handles, reparse points, file locking, and system\-level interactions.

• *3\. Cloud Storage \& Synchronization**

• Integrate Windows\-based synchronization clients with cloud storage platforms and backend services.
• Develop reliable synchronization mechanisms for file upload, download, metadata updates, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure data consistency and synchronization reliability across local and cloud environments.

• *4\. Performance Optimization \& Troubleshooting**

• Identify and resolve synchronization failures, hydration issues, connectivity problems, and file access conflicts.
• Implement asynchronous operations, multithreading, concurrency management, and cancellation handling.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and resource utilization.

• *5\. Development \& Production Support**

• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, unit testing, and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross\-functional engineering teams.
• Provide production support and resolve complex technical issues.

• *Required Technical Skills:\-**

• 7–8 years of overall software development experience.
• Strong hands\-on experience with Microsoft's Cloud Files API (CFAPI).
• Proven experience developing cloud\-based file synchronization or virtual file system solutions.
• Strong proficiency in C\# and .NET development.
• Practical experience with Windows APIs, P/Invoke, and Windows interoperability.
• Good understanding of Windows operating system architecture and NTFS file system concepts.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Experience with debugging complex Windows application and file synchronization issues.

• *Good to Have Skills:\-**

• Experience developing OneDrive\-like cloud synchronization applications.
• Knowledge of Windows Shell integration.
• Experience with Windows Services and REST API integration.
• Understanding of reparse points, file handles, and file locking mechanisms.
• Exposure to C\+\+ / Win32 programming.
• Experience with WinDbg and advanced Visual Studio debugging tools.
• Experience developing large\-scale Windows desktop or client applications.

Pay: ₹1,600,000\.00 \- ₹2,000,000\.00 per year
