Job Description – Senior Consultant – Order Management System (OMS)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced OMS Senior Consultant to support and lead OMS implementations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives. The role involves translating business requirements into effective OMS solutions, managing key project deliverables, collaborating with client stakeholders, and driving process improvements in a Big 4 consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• OMS Solution Design \& Implementation: Lead functional design, configuration, enhancements, and implementation activities across OMS platforms.
• Business Requirements \& Process Analysis: Gather and analyze business requirements, conduct workshops, document functional specifications, and recommend process improvements across the order lifecycle.
• OMS Functional Expertise: Work on order orchestration, sourcing and allocation, inventory visibility, fulfillment, cancellations, returns, and exchanges.
• Client \& Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and integration partners to resolve issues and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Project Delivery \& Governance: Manage assigned workstreams, track project milestones, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of quality outcomes.
• Integration \& Testing: Coordinate OMS integrations with ERP, WMS, POS, and e\-commerce platforms; support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
• Production Support \& Optimization: Perform root\-cause analysis, resolve functional issues, support system enhancements, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
• Team Collaboration \& Mentoring: Guide junior consultants, review deliverables, share best practices, and contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in IT consulting, retail technology, supply chain, or enterprise application delivery.
• Strong functional expertise in OMS platforms such as Manhattan OMS / Manhattan Active Omni, IBM Sterling OMS, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience in OMS implementations, configurations, enhancements, and application support.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel retail processes, order orchestration, inventory management, sourcing, fulfillment, and returns.
