We are seeking an experienced OVM/OLVM Administrator to manage and support Oracle virtualization platforms across enterprise environments. The role involves deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle VM (OVM) and Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) infrastructures. You will ensure platform stability, performance, and high availability while contributing to automation, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Platform Administration

• OVM, OLVM, VMware

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle VM (OVM) and Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) environments.

• Manage Oracle VM Manager and OLVM Manager including patching, upgrades, and version lifecycle operations.

• Oversee hypervisors based on Xen (OVM) and KVM/oVirt (OLVM) technologies. Virtual Machine \& Storage Management

• Provision and maintain virtual machines, pools, templates, repositories, and storage domains.

• Configure and manage storage backends including NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, OCFS2, and other supported storage types.

• Implement backup, snapshot, and VM lifecycle management procedures. Networking \& High Availability

• Configure virtualization networking components including bridges, VLANs, NIC bonding, and host network interfaces.

• Implement and support High Availability (HA), live migration strategies, and resource balancing across hosts/clusters.

• Optimize virtual network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues within OVM/OLVM clusters. Operations, Monitoring \& Troubleshooting

• Monitor environment performance and proactively tune compute, storage, and network resources.

• Troubleshoot L3 issues related to Xen/KVM, libvirt, vdsm, ovirt\-engine, storage paths, or cluster configuration.

• Provide root\-cause analysis (RCA) and collaborate with Linux, storage, and network teams for integrated issue resolution. Automation \& Documentation

• Automate administrative tasks using Ansible, Bash, and REST APIs.

• Maintain detailed SOPs, configuration documents, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base content.

• Support operational audits, compliance checks, and security hardening requirements. Required Skills

• Strong hands\-on expertise in Oracle VM (Xen) and Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM/KVM/oVirt).

• Deep knowledge of Oracle Linux, virtualization networking concepts, and enterprise storage technologies.

• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, and scripting languages like Bash; familiarity with REST APIs.

• Strong understanding of HA, clustering, VM migration, load balancing, and DR concepts.

• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across compute, networking, and storage layers. Experience

• Education\-BE or Btech or MTech or ME
• 8\+ years of experience in virtualization and Linux infrastructure administration.
• Solid hands\-on experience managing OVM and OLVM environments in production.
• Experience in enterprise environments with multi\-cluster and large\-scale deployments. Good to have
• Certifications such as Oracle Linux Certification, RHCE, or equivalent.
• Prior experience in managed services, large\-scale data centers, or multi\-vendor environments. • Exposure to VMware, Hyper\-V, or cloud\-based virtualization platforms is a plus.
