Leonstride Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Lead Data Migration Engineer to lead enterprise\-scale cloud data modernization and migration programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing modern data platforms, executing multi\-terabyte migrations, optimizing cloud data ecosystems, and implementing AI\-enabled engineering practices to improve delivery quality and automation.

Lead end\-to\-end enterprise data migration initiatives from legacy platforms to modern cloud environments.

Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures.

Develop batch, streaming, and CDC\-based data integration pipelines.

Perform schema mapping, transformation, reconciliation, validation, cutover planning, and production stabilization.

Optimize Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud\-native platforms for performance, scalability, and cost.

Implement enterprise data governance, metadata management, lineage, RBAC, security, and compliance.

Mentor engineering teams, conduct architecture/code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.

Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and global clients.

AI\-Enabled Engineering

Leverage AI\-assisted engineering to accelerate data migration, ETL/ELT development, validation, and documentation.

Build intelligent automation for schema mapping, metadata management, data quality, and reconciliation.

Optimize SQL, data pipelines, and cloud workloads using AI\-driven engineering practices.

Design AI\-enabled solutions to improve data governance, observability, lineage, and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with Data Science and AI teams to build scalable data platforms supporting Analytics, Machine Learning, and Generative AI initiatives.

Drive the adoption of AI\-powered engineering practices to improve productivity, delivery quality, and enterprise modernization.

Required Technical Skills

✔Advanced SQL, Python, PySpark, Apache Spark, ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing

✔Hands\-on expertise in Snowflake and/or Databricks

✔ AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud data services

✔REST APIs, CDC, Streaming Pipelines, Event\-driven Architecture

✔CI/CD, Git, automated deployment and release management

Mandatory Experience

✔ 9–14 years of enterprise Data Engineering experience

✔ Proven leadership in large\-scale enterprise data migration and cloud modernization projects

✔Experience migrating multi\-terabyte or larger production datasets with minimal downtime

✔Strong expertise in performance tuning, migration automation, reconciliation, and validation

✔Experience working directly with global clients and cross\-functional teams

✔Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
