Senior Data scientist Engineer.

This is an opportunity to join the Integrated business planning (IBP) team responsible for Statistical Forecasting \& analytics.

Key metrics include Forecast Accuracy and bias. The team works closely with various business units, regions, and functions across multiple domains.

We need a **Senior Data Scientist** for a team that is in charge of building and sustaining PepsiCo forecasting engine, consisting

of deployable statistical and machine learning models, mostly for time series forecasting in the context of integrated business planning and beyond.

• *Responsibilities**

The primary objective is to transform poor\-quality provider data into usable datasets. This enables ML model development and delivers foundational insights for commercial teams that currently lack them. A roadmap exists for future development beyond initial cleaning.

• *Requirements*** **Hard Skills: Standard Data Science Stack**Core technical skills include Python and strong data processing proficiency. PySpark is a significant nice\-to\-have due to heavy use of Databricks. Experience with non\-trivial data cleaning (e.g., fuzzy matching, unstructured string processing) is essential.

• **LLM Knowledge: A Desirable Plus**While not mandatory, familiarity with LLMs—especially text embeddings—would be valuable, as the team leverages LLMs to assist with complex data cleaning and text processing.
