Senior Drafter

We are looking for a Senior Drafter who takes pride in precision and enjoys translating engineering concepts into clear, high\-quality drawings. In this role, you will support transport engineering and project cargo operations, ensuring that complex lifting, lashing and transport solutions are visualised accurately and ready for execution. You will be located in our office in Chennai, India.

• *The task that awaits you**

As a Senior Drafter, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining high\-quality engineering drawings that support safe and efficient project cargo operations.

Your main tasks will include

• Preparing detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings for cargo arrangements, lashing plans, lifting plans and structural support systems.
• Developing fabrication and construction drawings for sea fastening, grillage and transport structures.
• Revising and updating drawings based on engineering reviews, site feedback and class comments.
• Coordinating with naval architects, structural engineers and operations teams to ensure accurate and aligned technical deliverables.
• Maintaining drawing registers, document control and revision tracking in accordance with company procedures.
• Supporting project planning by preparing visual layouts and transport arrangement drawings for feasibility studies and client presentations.
• Ensuring that drawings comply with applicable engineering standards and project specifications.
• Contributing to the standardisation and continuous improvement of drafting procedures and templates.

• *What you bring**

You are a detail\-oriented professional who understands the importance of accuracy in engineering documentation. You enjoy collaborating closely with technical teams and consistently delivering high\-quality outputs that others depend on.

In addition, we imagine that you

• Hold a diploma or technical qualification in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related field.
• Have at least 5 years of drafting experience from marine, offshore, heavy\-lift or structural engineering environments.
• Bring advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and detailing.
• Have experience with 3D modelling tools such as Rhino, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar.
• Are familiar with marine structural drawings, transport engineering layouts and fabrication drawings.
• Have a solid understanding of engineering terminology, standards and drawing practices.
• Communicate clearly in English and work well across teams and stakeholders.
