• *About the role:**

We are hiring a hands\-on Senior Google Cloud Platform \& Integration Engineer to take over and operate an existing GCP environment serving a client in Saudi Arabia. You will support secure integration of applications that remain hosted in the client's data center with GCP services, while improving operational reliability, automation, monitoring, access controls, and cost efficiency. This role focuses on cloud platform ownership and integration, not rebuilding the initial cloud foundation.

• *What you will do:**

• **Perform a structured platform handover covering projects, environments, deployed services, dependencies, IAM, configurations, monitoring, repositories, known issues, and operational procedures.**
• Operate and improve the existing GCP platform, including applicable Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Run functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery services.
• **Work with the onsite network lead and client application owners to connect on\-premises applications to GCP\-hosted endpoints, APIs, storage, databases, or data services as required by each approved integration.**
• Translate application integration requirements into platform configurations, service connectivity, API access, identity and permissions, certificates, secrets, and practical end\-to\-end tests.
• **Troubleshoot integration problems across APIs, service accounts, IAM policies, resource permissions, application logs, and cloud\-service configurations.**
• Maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, reusable modules, version control, environment configuration, peer review, and controlled deployment processes.
• **Manage deployment and release workflows using Git\-based CI/CD pipelines and suitable GCP services, with approval, rollback, and change documentation.**
• Maintain reliable observability through Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, alerting, dashboards, incident response, and root\-cause analysis; define service health measures where appropriate.
• **Implement and maintain least\-privilege IAM, secure service identities, Secret Manager, encryption controls, and suitable authentication patterns for on\-premises workloads.**
• Review high availability, backup and restore, recovery procedures, resource performance, quotas, scaling, and operating costs; recommend and implement approved improvements.
• **Partner with the client's application, data, network, and security teams; maintain architecture diagrams, integration specifications, operational runbooks, and production handover records.**

• *Required qualifications:**

• **At least 6 years of hands\-on cloud/platform engineering experience, with strong recent production experience on Google Cloud.**
• Hands\-on GCP experience with serverless or compute workloads, including Cloud Run and Cloud Run functions, plus Cloud Storage and at least one of Cloud SQL or BigQuery.
• **Proven ability to troubleshoot integrations between on\-premises applications and cloud\-hosted services, including REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, networking dependencies, authentication, and service\-level errors.**
• Strong Terraform, Git, automated deployment, and CI/CD experience, including working safely with existing production infrastructure.
• **Practical experience with IAM, service accounts, Secret Manager, audit logging, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and least\-privilege access.**
• Good working knowledge of Python, shellscripting, and debugging distributed services.
• **Experience with production support, incident investigation, change management, performance tuning, and technical documentation.**
• Fluent professional English, written and spoken. Arabic is not required. Ability to collaborate with Saudi Arabia\-based stakeholders during agreed working hours.

**Preferred qualifications**

• **Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Cloud Developer certification.**
• Experience maintaining OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and secure API integrations.
• **Familiarity with data\-processing patterns and Medallion architecture where BigQuery or cloud data platforms are involved.**

• *What successful delivery looks like:**

• The existing GCP platform is transferred into controlled operation with documented access, deployments, monitoring, and recovery procedures.
• **Assigned data\-center applications can securely and reliably exchange requests or data with the intended GCP services.**
• Infrastructure changes are repeatable, auditable, and delivered with measurable improvements in reliability and operational efficiency.
