We are looking for a creative, detail\-oriented Senior Interior Designer to lead design projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will possess a sophisticated design aesthetic and the technical expertise to manage complex interior projects while mentoring junior staff and maintaining high standards of design excellence.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Strategic Operations \& Efficiency**

• **Process Engineering:** Designing, implementing, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all phases of the project lifecycle—from schematic design to construction administration.
• **Resource Forecasting:** Analyzing staff capacity vs. project pipeline to make informed decisions on hiring, layoffs, or subcontracting needs.

• *2\.Strategic Leadership \& Business Development**

• **Business Growth:** lead proposal efforts (RFPs), and represent the firm in executive discussions
• **Project Visioning**: Translate high\-level client goals into innovative, functional, and sustainable design strategies that align with the firm's brand and quality standards
• **Operational Oversight:** Manage large\-scale project portfolios, overseeing budgeting, financial forecasting, and staffing needs to ensure the firm’s profitability and operational efficiency

• *3\. Design \& Technical Excellence**

• **Design Direction**: Lead the creative process, including conceptual design, space planning, and the curation of materials, lighting, and FF\&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment)
• **Technical Authority:** Provide oversight on complex construction documentation, ensuring strict compliance with building codes, zoning laws, sustainability certifications (e.g., LEED), and safety standards
• **Quality Control**: Execute rigorous design reviews to ensure that technical details and aesthetics are perfectly aligned across all project phases

• *4\. Team Management \& Mentorship**

• **Talent Development**: Mentor junior and mid\-level designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, creative exploration, and technical precision
• **Resource Management**: Supervise internal design teams and external consultants (engineers, contractors, vendors), ensuring effective communication and task prioritization
• **Organizational Design**: Structuring teams to maximize creative collaboration while minimizing administrative burden.
• **Performance Management**: Establishing KPIs for design staff and project managers, and overseeing professional development paths to retain top creative talent.
• **Cultivating Culture**: Ensuring that high\-pressure project deadlines do not erode the firm’s core values or creative spirit.

• *5\. Client \& Stakeholder Management**

• **High\-Level Representation**: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, effectively managing client expectations, navigating feedback, and resolving project\-critical conflicts
• **Coordination**: Manage interdisciplinary coordination with engineers, MEP teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution

• *Qualifications**

• **Experience**: 15\+years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong background in high\-end residential or boutique commercial projects.
• **Education**: A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with high\-end rendering software (e.g., V\-Ray or Lumion) is a significant plus.
• **Design Sensibility**: A strong portfolio demonstrating a refined eye for color (such as sophisticated palettes of sage, cream, and white), texture, and modern minimalism.
• **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client presentations and team coordination.
• **Project Management**: Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
