We are hiring an experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong hands\-on development background to join a growing engineering team. This role requires deep expertise in modern Java, reactive architectures, microservices, and cloud\-native application development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and high\-performance backend systems in distributed environments.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and distributed systems
• Build and optimize backend services using Java (Java 21\+) with Spring Boot / Quarkus
• Apply functional programming, reactive architecture, and non\-blocking I/O principles in service design
• Develop and integrate REST APIs, gRPC services, and event\-driven systems using messaging platforms such as Kafka / MQ
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (preferably GCP) using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation practices
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL / NoSQL) for data persistence and optimization
• Implement backend security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS
• Set up and maintain observability practices including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
• Collaborate closely with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality, production\-ready solutions

• *Required Skills \& Experience**

• 10\+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on hands\-on coding
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 21\+) with Spring Boot / Quarkus
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with functional programming, reactive architecture, and non\-blocking I/O
• Proven experience building microservices architectures and distributed systems
• Hands\-on experience with REST APIs, gRPC, event\-driven systems, and messaging (Kafka / MQ)
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices
• Good exposure to database technologies (PostgreSQL / NoSQL)
• Solid understanding of backend security practices (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)
• Experience with observability tools for logging, metrics, and tracing
• Strong problem\-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross\-functional teams

• *Preferred (Good to Have) Skills**

• Experience with blockchain / distributed ledger platforms (e.g., Canton)
• Exposure to API management platforms (e.g., Apigee)
• Familiarity with resilience patterns (circuit breaker, bulkhead, retry mechanisms)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) or other automation tooling
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure SDLC
• Experience working in regulated environments with compliance and audit awareness
