Senior Network Security Engineer – Fortinet & Azure

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands\-on Senior Network Security Engineer to serve as the technical authority for enterprise network security services.

The candidate must have expert\-level knowledge of Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and strong hands\-on experience with Azure Firewall and Azure networking. This role involves designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise network security solutions across on\-premises and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of hands\-on network security experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior engineering or SME role.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for network security services.
• Design, implement, configure, and support Fortinet security platforms.
• Review and approve firewall configuration changes, network segmentation, and security designs.
• Troubleshoot complex security incidents involving firewalls, routing, VPNs, segmentation, and cloud connectivity.
• Manage FortiGate firewall policies, security controls, and enterprise firewall operations.
• Support Azure Firewall and Azure network security architecture.
• Work with Azure Load Balancers for firewall high availability, Hub\-and\-Spoke architectures, VNet Peering, and hybrid connectivity.
• Manage vulnerability identification, remediation planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Participate in security governance, compliance reporting, risk assessments, and architecture reviews.
• Lead network security projects and initiatives from design through implementation.
• Prepare and review High\-Level Designs (HLDs), Low\-Level Designs (LLDs), standards, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, third\-party vendors, and managed service providers.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies, standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of security controls, processes, and operational practices.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of hands\-on network security experience.
• At least 3 years in a senior engineer or network security SME role.
• Expert\-level hands\-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls in large enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise FortiGate firewall solutions.
• Minimum 2 years of hands\-on experience operating Azure Firewall.
• Experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, High Availability (HA), IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, and Security Fabric.
• Knowledge of Application Control, Web Filtering, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), NAT, and firewall policy management.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, secure routing, network segmentation, VPN technologies, and IDS/IPS.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking and cloud security principles.
• Experience with Azure Load Balancers, Hub\-and\-Spoke architecture, VNet Peering, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience handling major security incidents, vulnerability remediation, and security governance.
• Ability to review security architecture and independently approve complex technical changes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.

Desirable Skills

• Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC).
• Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Proxy services, web security platforms, and security monitoring tools.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries.
• Experience working with third\-party service providers and managed security services.

• Acts as the trusted technical authority for Fortinet firewall design and operational issues.
• Independently reviews and approves complex network security changes.
• Provides clear technical leadership during major security incidents.
• Drives vulnerability remediation and security improvement initiatives to completion.
• Ensures secure and reliable connectivity across enterprise and Azure environments.

Pay: ₹600,000\.00 \- ₹2,400,000\.00 per year
