About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands\-on **PHP Developer** to build, scale, and manage robust backend systems using **CodeIgniter**. In this role, you will take full ownership of projects from conception to deployment while working directly with clients to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications and high\-performance REST APIs using PHP and CodeIgniter.
• Design secure, normalized MySQL databases and write highly efficient queries.
• Implement Redis for high\-speed caching, background jobs, queues, and retries.
• Integrate third\-party APIs and secure payment gateways with robust failure recovery.
• Handle system security, automated CI/CD deployments, and production troubleshooting.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, propose solutions, and provide status updates.

Must\-Have Technical Skills

Candidates must have practical, hands\-on production experience with the following:

• **PHP \& OOP:** Strong command of classes, interfaces, traits, namespaces, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
• **CodeIgniter \& MVC:** Deep expertise in routing, controllers, models, filters, and hooks; keeping business logic inside services/libraries rather than controllers.
• **MySQL:** Proficient with complex JOINs, subqueries, window functions, indexing, pagination, reading EXPLAIN plans, and resolving N\+1 query problems.
• **Redis \& Caching:** Cache invalidation strategies, TTL management, database synchronization, and session handling.
• **Concurrency \& Transactions:** ACID transactions, isolation levels, row\-level locking, and atomic stock updates to prevent overselling.
• **APIs \& Payments:** Idempotent payment webhooks with signature verification, duplicate prevention, retries, and timeouts.
• **Security \& Deployment:** JWT/session authentication, RBAC, prevention of SQL injection/XSS/CSRF, and database migrations/rollbacks.

Good\-to\-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS (S3 with pre\-signed URLs), Docker, and Laravel
• CodeIgniter 4 and migration experience from CodeIgniter 3
• Unit testing using PHPUnit
• Background in e\-commerce, inventory management, or payment\-heavy systems

Soft Skills

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers

Pay: ₹80,000\.00 \- ₹90,000\.00 per month

Work Location: In person
