Senior Piping Designer (Bengaluru) - GFS

• *Description**

Burns \& McDonnell India is looking for an experienced Piping Designer interested in growing their careers in an organization listed among top 100 Great Places to work in India. The “Global Facilities” (GFS) business unit handles engineering of facilities in the North America region which includes food \& beverage facilities, consumer product facilities, aerospace facilities, life sciences facilities, hyper scale datacenters, commercial facilities, healthcare facilities and utility plants. The Mumbai office has a full complement of professionals with expertise in architecture, civil, electrical, control \& automation, fire protection, mechanical, structural engineering, and project management and will support Bangalore team to stand up in executing Future Projects.

The successful candidate will report to Bangalore GFS Operation Manager. He will be involved in developing piping layout and producing high quality construction level documents for piping on various projects including Food, consumer product, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical devices and Onsite utility advanced manufacturing facilities.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• Develop and revise 3D equipment \& piping design models using Autodesk Revit or Plant 3D Software.
• Good understanding of piping codes \& standards like ASME Bioprocessing Equipment Standard \[BPE], ASME B16\.1 and ASME B31\.3\.
• Collaborate with project engineers and managers to meet project specifications.
• Produce detailed piping layout drawings and isometrics.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Validate and check piping models for accuracy and consistency.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support.
• Resolve design\-related issues and perform necessary revisions.
• Good understanding of pipe support requirements and standards
• Coordination with Stress analysis team for producing code compliant piping layout
• Active participation in 3D model review and clash coordination.
• Responsible for developing designer’s team as per project need.
• Responsible for adhering to company adopted QA/QC procedures.

• *Qualifications**

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Graduate in Non\-Engineering domain with piping design \& drafting course from reputed institute.
• Proficiency CAD \& 3D modeling software’s such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Intergraph CAD Worx etc.
• Strong understanding of Piping design principles \& standards
• Ability to read and interpret P\&IDs, Piping specifications, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to details and problem\-solving abilities
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
