SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Product Designer for a full\-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client offers a comprehensive suite of billing, payments, and software solutions for professional services firms.
You'll own the end\-to\-end design for the payments experience of the legal B2B platform across web and mobile. You'll shape how law firms get paid from invoicing and client billing to trust accounting, payment collection, and reconciliation, turning a compliance\-heavy, fragmented domain into something fast, clear, and trustworthy. It is a role for a designer who leads with customer discovery and problem framing. You'll spend time understanding why firms struggle to get paid, where onboarding breaks down, and where payment workflows create confusion, and then translate that into journey maps, flows, and shipped experiences. You'll simplify multi\-surface payment workflows, strengthen activation around the "first successful payment" moment, and partner across Product, Engineering, Data, and the payments platform team to ship measurable, durable improvements. AI is part of how the team works, not the role's identity. They use AI to accelerate exploration, drafting, and handoff, and expect you to be curious and pragmatic about it.
- *Overlap: 8 am to 5 pm EST.**
REQUIREMENTS
- 7–10\+ years of experience in product design for B2B software (complex workflows, permissions, data\-heavy UI).
- Direct experience designing payments, billing, invoicing, or other money\-movement UX, e.g., checkout, subscriptions, refunds, disputes, payouts, or reconciliation. 2–3 case studies (payments, billing, invoicing, or comparable money\-movement work strongly preferred — also welcome: complex platform IA, onboarding, or agentic flows).
- Proven experience leading large UX improvements (platform consolidation, IA redesign, or major product redesign).
- Strong onboarding and activation track record with measurable outcomes.
- Understanding of designing and contributing to a design system (components, tokens, governance).
- Be comfortable collaborating deeply with engineering on APIs, constraints, edge cases, and instrumentation.
- Solid research craft and the ability to turn findings into shipped improvements.
- Clear written communication: concise docs, options and risks, recommendations.
- **AI Approach:**
- The team uses AI to accelerate exploration, UI drafting, variants, and spec handoff. You don't need to be an "AI designer influencer." You should be:
- Curious and pragmatic about AI tools as part of the design workflow.
Comfortable moving between static exploration and system\-driven UI generation (tokens, components, and patterns* generated UI).
- Focused on maintaining quality and consistency as the work moves faster.
- Evidence of impact (metrics, before/after, experiments, funnel improvements — e.g., conversion, payment success, days\-to\-pay).
- Experience in problem discovery and framing, getting close to customers. Understanding of the realities of legal billing and payment workflows.
- The ability to frame the right problems before jumping to solutions.
- End\-to\-end product thinking.
- The ability to shape flows from first touch to shipped feature.
- Expertise in identifying tradeoffs, connecting design choices to business and customer outcomes, and influencing roadmap decisions.
- Empathy for the customer and domain learning.
- Experience in building real fluency in how firms run billing, trust accounting, and collections, and let that shape the work.
- Understanding of design, craft, and depth.
- Strong systems thinking, clear information architecture, polished interaction details, and a high bar for usability.
NICE TO HAVE
- Hands\-on experience with Stripe (Connect, Billing, Elements, Checkout) or comparable platforms (Adyen, Braintree, Checkout.com, GoCardless).
- Familiarity with payments concepts: PCI scope, SCA/3DS, ACH, payouts, multi\-currency, tax, chargebacks.
- Exposure to LegalTech, especially trust accounting (IOLTA), client billing, retainers, or LEDES.
- Experience in fintech, specifically in invoicing, accounts receivable/accounts payable, or UX design for subscription billing.
- Be comfortable reading API documentation and have a basic understanding of SQL.
- Experience in pricing/packaging UX or value fences.
- NN/g training or certification (or equivalent).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the payments experience across web and mobile, from discovery through shipped, instrumented features.
- Unify fragmented billing, invoicing, payments, and trust accounting surfaces into a single, coherent experience. Create simple mental models for complex financial objects: invoices, payments, retainers, refunds, disputes, payouts, and reconciliation.
- Reduce time from signup to first successful payment. Partner with PM and Data to define activation metrics and instrument funnels — processor connection rate, first invoice sent, first payment received, time\-to\-paid.
- Drive user research and data\-informed decisions. Use lightweight, high\-signal methods: journey mapping, task\-based usability, heuristic reviews, and analytics triangulation, and connect findings to shipped improvements. Ensure accessibility is built in (WCAG 2\.2 AA baseline).
- Partner deeply with PM and Engineering. Work closely with PM, Engineering, Data, and the payments platform team. Communicate decisions through short one\-pagers and design memos. Make design outputs implementation\-ready, not just visually polished.
