- *Job Title: Senior QA Engineer**

Full\-Time \| Contract: 12 months (possible extensions or path to permanent)
Our client is a multi\-entity technology group operating a regulated SaaS platform across Singapore and India. This role owns quality for the platform's product surfaces \- defining how features are tested, finding the defects that matter before users do, and holding the bar for what ships. The role is open to candidates who are strongest in manual/exploratory testing, candidates who are automation/SDET specialists, or those who do both; the emphasis can flex to the candidate's strengths within a team that values both disciplines.
- *Environment and remit:**
- Software engineering is performed in India by India\-based developers, so you work in the same timezone and embed closely with the development team day to day.
- You test across the platform's environments (dev, QA, test and demo, and pre\-production as it matures), covering the core platform and its region\-specific tenants.
- You help shape the quality strategy as the product scales \- test coverage, release\-readiness criteria, and where automation gives the best return \- rather than only executing a fixed test plan.
- *Test strategy and design:* turn requirements and functional specifications into clear, traceable test plans and cases; define entry/exit and release\-readiness criteria with the product and engineering leads.
- *Manual and exploratory testing:* functional, regression, integration, cross\-browser/cross\-device, usability and edge case testing; risk based exploratory testing on new and changed features.
- *Test automation:* design, build and maintain automated test suites (UI and API) within the CI/CD pipeline; choose and apply appropriate frameworks; keep suites stable, fast and trustworthy. (Weighted to candidate strength \- essential for automation focused applicants, developing for manual focused applicants.)
- *API and integration testing:* validate services and integrations (e.g. with tools such as Postman or REST Assured), including contract and negative path testing for backend heavy flows.
- *Defect management:* reproduce, isolate, prioritise and track defects to closure; partner with developers on root cause and prevention rather than just detection.
- *Non\-functional testing:* support performance, load and basic security testing in coordination with the engineering and infrastructure teams.
- *Quality signal:* maintain quality metrics and release reporting; contribute to a shift left culture and continuous improvement of the test process.
- *Who you'll work with.** You embed with the India based product engineering and platform development team, and work closely with the group's product and architecture functions and the India operating company's in\-house data and product team \- collaborating with developers, product owners and the infrastructure team across the delivery lifecycle.
- *Required Skills \& Experience:**
- Proven senior\-level QA experience on a web/SaaS product, with strong test design and defect analysis discipline.
- Solid manual and exploratory testing capability; structured, risk\-based approach to coverage.
- Test automation capability (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent) and a programming language for test code (Java, Python or JavaScript) \- essential for automation\-focused candidates, an advantage and growth path for manual\-focused candidates.
- API testing experience (Postman, REST Assured or similar); familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and running tests within them.
- Comfortable working in a multi\-tenant, multi\-region product context with strict test\-data\-handling discipline.
- Clear communicator who can hold a quality bar constructively with developers and product owners.
- *Desirable.** Performance/load testing (e.g. JMeter, k6\); basic security\-testing awareness; experience in a regulated or data\-sensitive domain; exposure to mobile testing if client apps are in scope.
- *Compliance.** Works within India DPDP data\-handling and data\-localisation expectations and the group's information security policy, with particular care around test\-data governance. Awareness of SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 control environments is an advantage given the group's certification trajectory.
- *Success measures.** Defects caught before release rather than after; stable, maintained automated coverage on critical paths; clear release\-readiness signal to the team; reduced escaped\-defect and regression rates; and full integrity of the test\-data\-segregation boundary.
