Senior Software Engineer (Developer)

We are looking for an experienced **Senior Software Engineer** with strong expertise in C\# .NET, microservices architecture, and AWS cloud services to join our growing engineering team.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and cloud\-based solutions. You will collaborate with cross\-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, optimize application performance, and mentor junior developers. Experience with modern web technologies, database optimization, and AI\-assisted development tools is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications and services using C\# and .NET.
• Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications using microservices architecture and established software design patterns.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud\-based applications using AWS services.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and cloud infrastructure.
• Work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL for database design, data modelling, complex queries, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and software engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Leverage AI\-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity and code quality.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the engineering team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain technical documentation covering system architecture, development processes, and coding standards.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• Minimum **5 years of experience in software development**, particularly building web applications and services.
• Strong hands\-on experience with **C\#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core**.
• Solid understanding of **microservices architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development**.
• Extensive knowledge of **AWS services and cloud architecture**, including deploying and operating cloud\-based applications.
• Strong experience with **SQL Server and PostgreSQL**, including complex SQL queries, database design, data modelling, and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of **JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS**.
• Good understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience with AI\-assisted development tools such as **Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools**.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem\-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and product teams.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and taking ownership of technical initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing enterprise\-grade cloud applications.
• Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, and cloud\-native development practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline are an advantage.
