Senior Software Engineer

• *Job Summary**

We are looking for a **Manual Testing Engineer** with 5–7 years of experience in software quality assurance. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring that applications meet functional and quality standards before release.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios.
• Create, review, and maintain detailed **test cases, test scenarios, and test data**.
• Execute **functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploration**.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as **Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar**.
• Perform **UI and API testing** as required.
• Validate application workflows across different browsers, devices, and environments.
• Participate in requirements review, sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, and defect triage meetings.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers.
• Perform **regression testing** after bug fixes and new feature implementations.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Ensure testing activities are completed within project timelines and quality standards.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall product quality.

• *Required Skills**
• **5–7 years of hands\-on experience in manual software testing.**
• Strong knowledge of **SDLC**, **Agile/Scrum methodology**
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Strong knowledge of **functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing**.
• Good experience with **defect life cycle and defect management**.
• Hands\-on experience with **Jira, Zephyr or equivalent defect\-tracking tools**.
• Basic to good knowledge of **SQL/database testing**.
• Basic knowledge of **API testing using Postman or similar tools**.
• Understanding of **REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON** is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a cross\-functional team.

• *Good to Have**
• Experience working in **web application testing**.
• Knowledge of **Selenium or any test automation framework**.
• Experience with performance or security testing is a plus.
• Experience working in **Jira \+ Confluence** environments.
