Key Responsibilities

. Develop and maintain reusable Python scripts for data processing, file handling, transformation, and automation.

. Use Pandas and/or PySpark to validate, transform, and process datasets efficiently.

. Write unit tests using pytest or unittest, including mocking external dependencies and covering error scenarios.

. Manage Git repositories, follow branching strategies, raise pull requests, and participate in code reviews.

. Develop and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for automated testing, security scanning, packaging, and deployment.

. Deploy applications to lower environments, including development, testing, and UAT; troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues.

. Investigate and remediate code vulnerabilities and vulnerable dependencies.

. Use AI code assistance tools to generate, refactor, debug, and test Python scripts, validating outputs for correctness, security, and maintainability.

. Integrate applications with enterprise vault solutions for secrets management, NAS locations for file processing, and SMTP services for notifications.

. Collaborate with business users and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support testing.

. Maintain technical documentation, deployment instructions, and operational runbooks.

Must Have Skills

. Strong hands on Python development experience, including modular programming, exception handling, logging, and configuration management.

. Proficiency in Pandas and/or PySpark, with experience processing structured files such as CSV, Excel, JSON, and TSV.

. Experience writing and maintaining automated unit tests using pytest or unittest.

. Strong knowledge of Git, repository management, branching strategies, merging, and conflict resolution.

. Hands on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.

. Experience deploying and troubleshooting Python applications in lower environments.

. Experience addressing security scan findings, upgrading dependencies, and applying secure coding practices.

. Strong practical experience with AI code assistance tools such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent, including reviewing and validating generated code.

. Experience retrieving secrets from vault solutions without hardcoding credentials.

. Experience working with NAS file paths, access permissions, and file processing workflows.

. Experience configuring SMTP based email notifications and handling delivery failures.

. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell commands.

. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Nice to Have Skills

. Hands on experience with Devin Desktop for Python code generation, development, testing, and remediation.

. Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Stonebranch.

. Experience modernizing legacy scripts or migrating file based data processing applications to Python.

. Familiarity with banking, financial services
