Senior Software Engineer / Technical Consultant

SAP Commerce development with a focus on Java backends and REST APIs

About the Role

For a software project in the e\-commerce and marketplace domain focused on product data quality and

validation, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong advisory and

coordination skills. The role focuses on developing and enhancing SAP Commerce, Java backends and

REST APIs.

The person independently owns defined work packages, designs technical solutions and aligns them

with business teams and project stakeholders. We are looking for a strong communicator who combines

technical depth with business understanding and a consultative approach.

Technical Skills (Required)

● Several years of senior\-level experience in Java backend development and solid knowledge of

Spring Boot

● Strong hands\-on experience in SAP Commerce development, including extending business

logic, data modeling and integrating external systems

● Experience contributing to or managing backlogs, including requirements analysis, prioritization

and writing user stories

● Experience working with cross\-functional teams in an international, agile environment, including

refinement, sprint and release planning, and daily stand\-ups

● Solid experience across the full software development lifecycle, particularly in designing,

implementing and testing REST APIs and working with headless/API\-driven architectures

● Experience designing, developing and working with microservices in complex cloud

architectures, e.g. Azure, Spring Boot, Kubernetes and REST, as well as working with CI/CD

pipelines

● Experience connecting and integrating SAP Commerce through REST APIs, e.g. SAP

Commerce OCC APIs

Technical Skills (Nice\-to\-have)

● Knowledge of frontend development with React and TypeScript and integration with REST APIs

● Experience with the SAP Commerce Promotion Engine and Drools

Pay: ₹700,000\.00 \- ₹1,300,000\.00 per year
