DHH supports commercial and medical teams by delivering customer\-centric digital platforms, data capabilities, and technology\-enabled operating models that enable flexible go\-to\-market approaches, actionable insights, and personalized customer experiences in a regulated environment. Within DHH, the Adobe Stack engineering capability delivers web experiences and digital tactics built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites, aligned to design system standards and integrated with AEM Assets. **Role Purpose:** Design, develop, and maintain governed web experiences on AEM Sites—building reusable components and templates, implementing design systems, and enabling structured content delivery through Content Fragments and headless/hybrid patterns. **Scope of Ownership \& Adjacent Responsibilities** * Own AEM Sites component architecture and template standards aligned to design system guidelines. * Enable structured content delivery via Content Fragments and GraphQL, in partnership with AEM Assets teams. * Support development of compliant digital tactics (e.g., IVAs, template\-driven pages) in regulated contexts. * Contribute to platform operations in AEMaaCS (Cloud Manager, performance, dispatcher/CDN) and roadmap planning. **Key Responsibilities** **Sites Development \& Component Architecture** * Develop, configure, and maintain AEM Sites components, templates, and page structures using Core Components and custom development. * Implement and enforce design system standards within AEM Sites; build editable templates and content policies for governed authoring. * Develop front\-end experiences using HTL, JavaScript, and CSS aligned with AEM best practices. **Content Fragment \& Headless Integration** * Integrate Content Fragment models from AEM Assets into AEM Sites for structured, reusable content delivery. * Support headless and hybrid delivery using AEM GraphQL API for IVA and web consumption. * Collaborate with AEM DAM Developer to ensure seamless asset and content fragment handoff between Assets and Sites. **Design System Implementation** * Translate design system specifications into AEM Sites component libraries and template standards. * Ensure consistency between Adobe Express template standards and AEM Sites component behavior. * Partner with Design Ops to validate components meet design and accessibility standards. **IVA \& Tactic Development** * Support development of Interactive Visual Aids (IVAs) and finished marketing tactics within AEM Sites. * Implement claims\-aware components that surface approved, MLR\-reviewed content from AEM Assets content fragments. * Collaborate with regulatory and marketing stakeholders to ensure tactics meet compliance requirements. **Platform Operations** * Manage AEM Sites deployments via Adobe Cloud Manager in an AEMaaCS environment. * Monitor and optimize Sites performance including Dispatcher/CDN configuration. * Contribute to roadmap planning for Sites capabilities in alignment with DAM and content operations teams. **What Success Looks Like** * Reusable component library and templates that accelerate compliant tactic production. * Design system fidelity across Sites and templates, improving consistency and authoring governance. * Reliable structured content delivery via Content Fragments/GraphQL. * Stable operations and performant Sites deployments in AEMaaCS. **Qualifications \& Experience** **Education** * Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. **Experience** * 7–8\+ years of experience in AEM development with focus on AEM Sites and component/template architecture. * Proficiency in AEM component development (HTL, Java/Sling Models, JavaScript). * Experience with AEM Core Components and editable template architecture. * Strong front\-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and Cloud Manager deployment pipelines. * Familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards. **Preferred / Nice to Have** * Experience implementing design systems within AEM Sites.Familiarity with Content Fragment models and AEM GraphQL API for headless delivery. * Experience developing IVAs or regulated marketing tactics in life sciences contexts. * Knowledge of AEM Assets integration patterns (Connected Assets, Content Fragments). * Exposure to Adobe Express and template consistency. * Experience with SPA development in AEM using React or Angular. **Key Competencies** * Strong front\-end and component engineering * Design system literacy and attention to governance * Collaboration with design/content/regulatory stakeholders * Balancing technical rigor with delivery timelines **\#HYDIT2025** **Required Skills:** Data Engineering, Data Visualization, Design Applications, Software Configurations, Software Development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Solution Architecture, System Designs, System Integration, Testing**Preferred Skills:** Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE **Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully** Merck \& Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp \& Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
