• *Role \& Responsibilities**

• Define and drive the **long\-term technology and architecture roadmap** for a large\-scale customer\-facing platform.
• Shape architecture across **multiple product pillars**, creating reusable patterns and driving technology consistency where it adds value.
• Partner closely with **Product Managers, Business Analysts, regional stakeholders, UI architects and engineering teams** to turn business strategy into scalable technology solutions.
• Stay hands\-on with architecture and critical technical challenges across **React.js, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS and Azure**.
• Evaluate and introduce **modern frameworks, cloud services, engineering tools and emerging technologies**.
• Drive adoption of **AI\-assisted software engineering and AI Development Lifecycle (AI\-DLC)** practices to improve developer productivity, quality, automation and speed of delivery.
• Define and drive the platform's **Generative AI and Agentic AI strategy**, identifying opportunities to build intelligent capabilities into customer\-facing products.
• Establish architecture principles, engineering standards, reference architectures and technical guardrails.
• Drive critical non\-functional requirements including **reliability, availability, scalability, performance, security and maintainability**.
• Define strategies for **monitoring, logging, auditing, observability and production diagnostics**.
• Identify and address architectural bottlenecks, technical debt and opportunities for platform modernisation.
• Influence and mentor Tech Leads, senior engineers and architects, building a strong engineering and architecture culture.

• *Technical Expertise**
• ----------------------

• Deep hands\-on experience with **React.js, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web application architecture**.
• Strong experience designing distributed and cloud\-native systems using **AWS and Microsoft Azure**.
• Hands\-on knowledge of AWS services including **Lambda, RDS and S3**.
• Strong experience with **GraphQL, PostgreSQL and Solr** or similar search platforms.
• Experience with **Akamai** or comparable edge, content delivery and security technologies.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, integration patterns and scalable distributed architectures.
• Experience designing for **high availability, reliability, performance, scalability and security**.
• Strong understanding of **observability, monitoring, logging, auditing and production diagnostics**.
• Experience with **CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps and modern software engineering practices**.
• Practical knowledge of **Generative AI, large language models, AI agents and Agentic AI architectures**.
• Passion for applying AI to both **customer\-facing products and the software engineering lifecycle**.

• *Education \& Experience**

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology** or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• **15\+ years of software engineering experience**, including significant architecture and technical leadership experience.
• Proven experience designing or modernising **large\-scale customer\-facing digital platforms**.
• Demonstrated ability to influence architectural and technology decisions across multiple engineering teams or product areas.
• Strong communication and stakeholder\-management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical decisions to both engineering and business audiences.
