Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Continuous Diagnostics Windows Application Developer with 5–9 years of experience in Windows application development, diagnostics, telemetry, and automation. The candidate should possess strong expertise in Modern C\+\+, Lua scripting, Windows internals, telemetry pipelines, diagnostics frameworks, data collection mechanisms, and troubleshooting complex Windows platform issues. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Windows\-based diagnostic solutions that continuously monitor system health, detect failures, collect telemetry, perform root\-cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve customer experience and device reliability. Experience in building scalable diagnostic platforms for device, driver, operating system, or application health monitoring is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Continuous Diagnostics Platform Development

• Design and develop Windows\-based Continuous Diagnostics applications and services.
• Build diagnostic scenarios to proactively detect system, driver, application, and platform issues.
• Develop health monitoring modules to identify reliability, performance, and stability problems.
• Implement automated issue detection, classification, and root cause identification mechanisms.

Telemetry \& Health Monitoring

• Design and develop telemetry collection solutions for Windows devices and applications.
• Implement event\-based monitoring using Windows Event Logs, ETW (Event Tracing for Windows), and telemetry frameworks.
• Develop data aggregation, correlation, and health analysis modules.
• Build and maintain local and cloud\-connected diagnostic data pipelines.
• Work with diagnostic databases, telemetry storage, and reporting frameworks.

Windows Application Development

• Develop Windows desktop applications, services, and background agents using C\+\+.
• Integrate Lua scripting capabilities to enable configurable and extensible diagnostic workflows.
• Develop reusable frameworks for scenario execution, health checks, and diagnostics automation.
• Build diagnostic dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and troubleshooting tools.

Reliability Engineering

• Investigate and resolve system reliability issues, crashes, hangs, Code 10 device failures, service failures, and performance degradations.
• Perform root cause analysis using diagnostic data, event logs, crash dumps, and telemetry traces.
• Drive preventive diagnostics to reduce recurring customer\-impacting issues.

Quality \& Automation

• Develop automated test suites and Build Verification Tests (BVTs).
• Create validation pipelines for diagnostic scenarios and telemetry collection.
• Support Selfhost, Preview, and Production deployments.
• Experience developing Windows desktop applications and services
• Hands\-on experience with telemetry, diagnostics, or health monitoring solutions
• Strong debugging, crash analysis, and troubleshooting capabilities
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps
