- *Job Description**
- + Lead the development of detailed design and coordination of dry utility systems such as Duct Banks for electrical, telecommunication and gas networks.
+ Support the design development, coordination, and design considerations for dry utilities, including hydro, gas, and telecommunications, within transportation and urban corridors.
+ Apply subsurface utility engineering principles to evaluate utility data quality and support informed design decisions.
+ Interface with multiple disciplines to resolve utility conflicts and support approvals.
+ Review and guide utility design deliverables to ensure technical quality and coordination across disciplines.
+ Provide technical support during construction, including clarification responses as required.
+ Mentor intermediate and junior staff and contribute positively to client relationships.
+ Conflict analysis and resolution in 2D and 3D CAD environment.
+ Ownership of QA/QC process of design deliverables.
+ Support preparation of technical specifications and contract documents.
- *Qualifications**
- + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
+ 10\+ years of experience in municipal and/or transportation infrastructure projects.
+ Proven ability to design dry utility systems including electrical design components.
+ Experience with dry utility coordination and design considerations, including interface with hydro, gas, and telecommunications infrastructure.
+ Strong communication skills and experience working in multi\-disciplinary teams.
+ Strong Working knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D \& AutoCAD) is a requirement particularly for review and coordination.
+ Strong working knowledge of BIM process, development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud (ACC) is preferred.
+ Previous experience working with municipalities, utility companies, developers, and consulting engineering firms is considered an asset.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
+ Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and time\-management skills
+ Familiarity with utility designs for complex projects such as airports and rail infrastructure will be an asset.
