Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior VMware Engineer with 8\+ years of expertise in VMware virtualization, infrastructure management, and enterprise data center operations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on experience in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, virtual machine administration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere and ESXi environments.
• Administer and maintain VMware vCenter Server and virtual machines.
• Perform virtual machine provisioning, migration, cloning, snapshots, and resource allocation.
• Manage VMware clusters, HA (High Availability), DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler), and vMotion.
• Perform ESXi host upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot virtualization, performance, connectivity, and storage\-related issues.
• Manage VMware networking, including vSwitches, distributed switches, VLANs, and VMkernel networking.
• Work with SAN/NAS storage and troubleshoot datastore\-related issues.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for virtualized environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and resource utilization.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Collaborate with network, storage, security, and server teams to ensure infrastructure stability.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure configuration records.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands\-on experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi.
• Expertise in VMware vCenter Server administration.
• Experience with vMotion, Storage vMotion, HA, and DRS.
• Knowledge of VMware networking, vSwitches, distributed switches, VLANs, and VMkernel.
• Experience with virtual machine lifecycle management and performance tuning.
• Understanding of SAN/NAS storage, datastores, and multipathing.
• Experience with ESXi patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of VMware backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Good understanding of data center infrastructure and virtualization concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem\-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware NSX, VMware Aria Operations, or VMware Site Recovery Manager.
• Knowledge of PowerCLI and automation scripting.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure monitoring tools.
• VMware certification such as VCP\-DCV.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Experience and Qualifications

• 8\+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and virtualization.
• Strong hands\-on experience in VMware administration and enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting business\-critical production infrastructure.
• Ability to handle critical incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Pay: ₹535,000\.00 \- ₹3,000,000\.00 per year
