Job Description
Valmet is looking for a proactive and detail\-oriented Application Support Specialist for Salesforce to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer support, resolving issues, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth operations of Valmet Salesforce applications and related systems. You will play a key role in bridging business requirements with technical solutions while driving continuous improvement.
- *Areas of responsibility**
- **Customer Support** : Address customer questions and troubleshoot issues for selected applications.
- **Issue Resolution** : Investigate complaints, determine appropriate solutions, and escalate high\-level problems to the Service Manager.
- **Feedback \& Improvement** : Gather customer feedback and identify recurring issues to refine Valmet applications and services.
- **Product Knowledge** : Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s offerings to effectively guide or train end users.
- *Basic requirements of the position**
- 4\+ years of Salesforce Service specialist experience
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands\-on experience with Salesforce (admin/configuration level preferred)
- Salesforce customization experience – Apex, Flows, LWC, Triggers
- Strong understanding of IT service management (incident, problem, change)
- Experience working with external vendors (AMS and/or development teams)
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Understanding of system integrations and dependencies
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and/or Flosum (release tool)
- Experience coordinating releases and UAT
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable tasks
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Proactive and structured way of working
- Problem\-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a multi\-vendor, complex environment
- Documentation of implemented features
- *Competencies and skills of the position**
- Fluent spoken and written English language
- Good communication skills with technical and non\-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with developers, admins, and business stakeholders to align implementation with project goals.
- Knowledge of GDPR regulations
- Familiarity with Western business practices and work culture
