The Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for playing a key role in the evolution of the ServiceNow platform from initial implementation to enterprise\-wide adoption.
The role goes beyond configuration and requires strong platform ownership, solution design capability, and close partnership with IT and business stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in IT experience, service quality, and automation.
Platform \& Solution Design
- You will design and implement scalable, reusable ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise standards and the long\-term platform roadmap.
- You will translate business and IT experience requirements into efficient, maintainable technical designs.
- You will act as a technical design authority across platform enhancements and new ServiceNow capabilities.
Development \& Configuration
- You will develop and maintain custom applications, workflows, business rules, UI policies, scripts, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform.
- You will lead complex development activities across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SAM, and HAM modules.
- You will ensure all solutions follow out\-of\-the\-box\-first and configuration\-over\-customization principles.
Integrations
- You will design and build secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and APIs.
- You will support a phased integration strategy, including core systems and experience or automation extensions.
- You will collaborate with integration and security teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
IT Experience \& Automation
- You will support initiatives focused on improving end\-user experience, self\-service adoption, and automation.
- You will contribute to digital employee experience (DEX), virtual agent, service catalog optimization, and knowledge\-driven support use cases.
- You will reduce manual effort through orchestration and workflow automation.
Governance, Quality \& Operations
- You will enforce development standards, code quality guidelines, and release management practices.
- You will support platform upgrades, health monitoring, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
- You will provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior developers and external partners when required .
Stakeholder Collaboration
- You will work closely with IT Support, IT Experience, Change, and Business teams.
- You will support product owners by providing technical options, impact analysis, and trade\-off recommendations.
- You will contribute to platform roadmap discussions and ServiceNow capability planning.

Technical Skills
- You should have 5\+ years of hands\-on ServiceNow development experience.
- You should have strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM, with a good understanding of SAM and HAM.
- You should have strong experience with Service Catalog, Workflow Editor, and Flow Designer.
- You should have solid understanding of CMDB and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) concepts.
- You should have advanced scripting skills using JavaScript and Glide APIs.
- You should have experience delivering ServiceNow solutions in large, multi\-region enterprise environments.
- You should have experience designing and supporting integrations using REST, SOAP, authentication methods, and MID Server.
- You should have experience working with update sets, scoped applications, and source control.
- You should have a strong understanding of ServiceNow performance, security, and data integrity best practices.
Platform Mindset
- You should have a strong understanding of ServiceNow platform governance, lifecycle management, and upgrade strategies.
- You should have the ability to balance speed of delivery with solution quality and long\-term platform maintainability.
- You should have the confidence to challenge requirements when they compromise platform health or sustainability.
Nice\-to\-Have
- You should have experience integrating ServiceNow with Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, Defender, Intune, Jira, or Copilot Studio.
- You should have experience supporting employee experience initiatives, including self\-service portal design and adoption programs.
- You should have relevant certifications such as ServiceNow CSA, CIS (ITSM, Discovery, or HRSD), ITIL 4 Managing Professional, or Agile certifications such as PSM or CSPO.
