A Site Engineer is responsible for supervising construction activities on\-site, ensuring projects are completed according to design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. They coordinate with contractors, architects, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day\-to\-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Verify materials and workmanship meet project requirements.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Measure completed work and assist in preparing progress claims.
- Manage site resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain project documentation, records, and reports.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical support to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in construction site supervision (typically 2–3 years for mid\-level positions).
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.
- Understanding of quality control and safety management systems.
- Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities.
