Site Engineer - Foundation Testing

• *Key Responsibilities**

The candidate should

• Have a basic understanding of deep foundation testing, pile foundations, and foundation engineering.
• Be capable of supporting and coordinating onshore deep foundation testing activities.
• Be willing to travel across India and work at offshore locations as required.
• Possess good analytical, technical, problem\-solving, and communication skills.
• Be able to read and understand civil, structural, and geotechnical drawings, as well as soil investigation reports.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn advanced deep foundation testing techniques, engineering analysis, and relevant software.

• *1\. Site Execution \& Supervision**

• **Manage daily piling operations** including bored cast\-in\-situ, Continuous Flight Auger (CFA), driven, or sheet piles.
• **Supervise drilling and boring depths**, monitoring soil strata changes and ensuring proper termination into the bedrock.
• **Verify site layouts and alignments** with the surveying team to position pile locations accurately.
• **Oversee rig machinery**, bentonite washing pumps, and tremie pipes for systematic underwater or dry concreting.

2\. **Quality Control \& Testing**

• **Inspect reinforcement cages** against Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) to confirm correct cover block, lap length, and ring spacing.
• **Monitor fresh concrete properties** (slump, concrete pour volume, and initial setting time) to track precise concrete consumption.
• **Coordinate critical engineering tests** including Pile Integrity Testing (PIT), Dynamic Load Tests, and Static Pile Load Testing.
• **Supervise pile head chipping** and preparation for subsequent pile cap structural tying.

• *3\. Documentation \& Reporting**

• **Maintain accurate bore logs**, tracking drilling time, soil classification, rock core recovery, and concrete volumes.
• **Prepare regular progress reports** (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly) mapping actual site progress against scheduling metrics.
• **Log material inventories** to anticipate material planning requirements and minimize site downtime.

• *Required Qualifications \& Experience**

• **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• **Experience:** 2 to 7\+ years of dedicated structural site execution experience, specifically focusing on deep pile foundation projects.
• **Drawing Proficiency:** Proven capability to interpret complex geotechnical reports, reinforcement structures, and foundation layout blueprints.
• **Software Skills:** Familiarity with MS Excel for maintaining spreadsheets and basic **AutoCAD** for reviewing drawings.

Pay: ₹20,000\.00 \- ₹30,000\.00 per month
