Snowflake Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer with strong SQL skills and hands\-on experience developing and maintaining data pipelines. The candidate will work with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver reliable, well\-structured data for reporting, analytics, and downstream applications.

The role requires practical experience in data ingestion, transformation, quality validation, and troubleshooting within a Snowflake\-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

\- Develop data pipelines: Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from source systems into Snowflake, with appropriate validation, logging, and error handling.

\- Implement data ingestion: Load structured and semi\-structured data using Snowflake stages, file formats, COPY INTO, and Snowpipe, depending on the ingestion requirements. Snowflake Documentation

\- Build transformations and data models: Develop SQL transformations, tables, views, and reusable data models to support reporting and analytics.

\- Support incremental processing: Implement incremental loading and change data capture patterns, including Snowflake Streams where appropriate. Snowflake Documentation

\- Maintain quality and performance: Monitor pipeline execution, investigate data discrepancies, implement reconciliation checks, and tune SQL and warehouse usage to balance performance and cost. Snowflake Documentation

\- Collaborate and document: Work with analysts and application teams to understand data requirements, maintain source\-to\-target mappings, and document pipeline dependencies and operational procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

\- 2–4 years of data engineering or data warehousing experience, including hands\-on work with Snowflake.

\- Strong SQL skills, including joins, common table expressions, window functions, aggregations, and troubleshooting complex queries.

\- Working knowledge of Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, virtual warehouses, stages, and data\-loading processes.

\- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, dimensional modeling, incremental loads, and data quality validation.

\- Working knowledge of Python for data processing or automation, along with Git, debugging, and clear technical communication.

Pay: ₹50,000\.00 \- ₹1,880,000\.00 per month
