Job Description

  • *Position Overview:**

We are seeking a results\-driven Social Media Executive to own the execution and performance of UniPin's social media activities across India and MENA markets. This is a core operational role that bridges content strategy with performance metrics—balancing creative execution, community engagement, and data\-driven optimization.

The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of hands\-on experience in social media marketing within the gaming industry. You'll manage day\-to\-day campaign execution, content calendars, community engagement, agency partnerships, and paid social campaigns—working autonomously on execution while coordinating with leadership on strategy.

  • *Critical requirement:** Deep understanding of gaming culture, gaming communities, and gaming audience behavior. This role is not an administrative calendar job—you'll own the performance of campaigns, make real\-time optimizations.
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • *1\. Social Media Content \& Calendar Management**

· Calendar Creation \& Planning: Develop and maintain weekly/monthly social media content calendars for India and MENA markets across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Telegram, and WhatsApp.

· Platform\-Specific Content: Create, adapt, and publish engaging content tailored to each platform (Reels, Stories, static posts, Shorts, vertical video) with deep understanding of algorithm prioritization and audience behavior on each channel.

· Publishing \& Scheduling: Execute daily/weekly publishing across all platforms using Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, and scheduling tools; manage story updates, broadcast communications, and time\-zone optimization for India vs. MENA audiences.

· Content Coordination: Brief creative agencies and internal content teams; manage end\-to\-end workflows from concept through delivery; track revisions, approvals, and ensure quality before publication.

· Regional Nuance: Adapt messaging and creative for India cultural moments, gaming trends, and MENA market dynamics; understand local gaming communities, languages, and audience preferences for both regions.

  • *2\. Community Engagement \& Online Reputation Management**

· Comment \& DM Monitoring: Proactively track and respond to comments, DMs, and brand conversations on all social channels and gaming community platforms (Reddit, Discord, in\-game communities).

· Community Building: Engage with gaming communities to foster brand affinity, address player feedback, and identify community\-driven content opportunities.

· Gaming Influencer \& Creator Coordination: Work with gaming influencers and KOLs to brief campaigns, coordinate content drops, and manage co\-marketing partnerships.

· Reputation Management: Monitor brand sentiment and gaming community conversations; escalate reputation risks to leadership and support rapid response to negative sentiment or PR concerns.

  • *3\. Performance Tracking, Analytics \& Optimization (\~20% of role)**

· Social Analytics: Monitor and analyze KPIs across India and MENA platforms: reach, impressions, engagement rates, follower growth, sentiment trends, and audience demographics.

· Performance Reporting: Generate weekly/monthly performance reports comparing India vs. MENA performance; identify top\-performing content and learnings.

· Content Optimization: Identify underperforming content; make data\-backed decisions to pause, repurpose, or scale winning creative based on engagement metrics.

· Trend \& Competitor Monitoring: Track gaming industry trends, competitor social activity, viral gaming moments, and platform algorithm changes; surface opportunities to leadership.

  • *4\. Agency \& Brand Partnership Management**

· Agency Collaboration: Work with creative agencies, content production studios, and social media agencies; brief them on campaign objectives, tone, and requirements.

· Deliverable Management: Monitor timelines, track production progress, follow up on pending deliverables, ensure quality control, and manage revisions to meet campaign launch dates.

· Vendor Accountability: Maintain records of agency performance, delivery timeliness, and quality; provide feedback and recommendations on partner capabilities.

· Cross\-Functional Coordination: Align with Gaming Partnerships, Product, Sales, and Performance Marketing teams to ensure social media strategy supports business objectives.

  • *5\. Campaign Planning \& Execution**

· Campaign Brief Development: Contribute to campaign strategy and creative briefs; identify seasonal opportunities (game launches, esports events, cultural moments) to drive content calendar.

· End\-to\-End Campaign Ownership: Own execution of assigned campaigns (product launches, retention initiatives, seasonal promotions) from planning through post\-campaign analysis.

· Copy \& Messaging: Ensure on\-brand voice and messaging consistency across all communications; collaborate with copywriters and designers on copy review and approval.

  • *Required Qualifications \& Experience:**

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a related field.

· 2–5 years of hands\-on experience in social media marketing or digital marketing within the gaming industry.

· Critical: Deep understanding of gaming culture, gaming communities, esports, gaming influencers, and gamer audience behavior. You should speak "gamer" fluently and understand what drives gaming audiences.

· Proven platform proficiency with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, and Telegram; comfortable learning new platforms quickly.

· Agency management OR brand marketing background: Either demonstrated ability to brief, track, and coordinate with external creative/social agencies (freelancers, studios, social agencies), OR hands\-on experience running social media for a brand and building audience/engagement at scale.

· Hands\-on campaign execution experience: Managed content calendars, executed multi\-platform campaigns, coordinated creative delivery, and reported on performance.

· Paid social exposure: Basic familiarity with Meta Ads Manager and/or YouTube Ads; comfort managing campaign budgets, targeting, and performance monitoring.

· MENA market experience: Familiarity with Middle East \& North Africa audience dynamics, cultural nuances, or gaming trends in the region (strong plus).

· Prior experience with gaming brands, gaming influencers, esports marketing, or gaming platforms.

· Working with agencies and partners for creative and media production.

· Creator and influencer partnership management within gaming communities.

· Exposure to user acquisition (UA) funnels and performance marketing in consumer tech or gaming.

· Familiarity with WhatsApp Business, or community management platforms (Discord, Reddit).

· Understanding of mobile gaming mechanics, in\-game economies, and player retention dynamics.

  • *Core Competencies:**

· Gaming fluency: Active understanding of current gaming trends, popular gaming titles (BGMI, Valorant, Free Fire, etc.), esports, and gaming community dynamics.

· Platform expertise: Deep knowledge of Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, platform algorithms, content formats, and audience behavior on social channels.

· Analytics \& insights: Ability to interpret social media metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, sentiment), generate performance reports, and make data\-backed optimization recommendations.

· Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to brief agencies, present findings to leadership, and engage with gaming communities authentically.

· Multitasking \& execution: Ability to manage multiple campaigns, content calendars, and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast\-paced environment; high follow\-through.

· Attention to detail: Strong quality control; ensures brand consistency, copy hygiene, and error\-free execution across all platforms.

· Proactive ownership: Takes initiative to identify issues, escalate appropriately, and drive solutions without waiting for guidance.

  • *Technical Skills:**

· Proficiency with Meta Ads Manager, YouTube Ads Manager, and content scheduling tools (Buffer, Later, or similar).

· Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets and Excel (pivot tables, filtering, basic data analysis).

· Familiarity with social media analytics platforms (Meta Insights, YouTube Analytics, Sprout Social, or similar tools).

· Comfortable learning new AI tools and platforms quickly.
