About the Role

CGI is seeking a highly skilled Automation Developer to join a global Connectivity Automation team supporting enterprise\-scale automation platforms and engineering workflows.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and continuously improving automation ecosystems built on modern DevOps, Infrastructure\-as\-Code, and orchestration technologies. This role focuses on automation platform ownership, CI/CD enablement, infrastructure automation, security compliance, and integration of enterprise systems.

You will work closely with platform engineers, network teams, cloud teams, and business stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and reusable automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Platform Engineering

Design, implement, and maintain end\-to\-end automation platforms and frameworks.

Build and manage enterprise automation solutions using GitHub Actions, Terraform, OpenTofu, and Ansible Automation Platform.

Develop reusable automation standards and templates for engineering teams.

Support automation platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, migrations, maintenance, and decommissioning.

CI/CD \& DevOps Automation

Design and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related DevOps tools.

Develop reusable workflows and automation frameworks for software delivery.

Manage self\-hosted runners and workflow execution environments.

Automate build, test, validation, deployment, and release processes.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Develop and maintain Infrastructure\-as\-Code solutions using Terraform/OpenTofu.

Create reusable modules and deployment patterns.

Automate cloud and infrastructure provisioning.

Ensure infrastructure consistency across environments.

Ansible Automation \& Orchestration

Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, collections, and workflows.

Design orchestration solutions using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and AWX.

Implement automation for system administration, configuration management, and network operations.

Perform testing and validation using Ansible Molecule and Ansible Lint.

Integration \& API Automation

Integrate enterprise platforms using REST APIs, Webhooks, and event\-driven architectures.

Develop automation services using Python and Bash scripting.

Build integrations between cloud platforms, infrastructure tools, monitoring solutions, and enterprise applications.

Platform Reliability \& Operations

Monitor automation infrastructure and ensure high availability.

Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and break/fix support.

Maintain automation platform performance, security, and scalability.

Support operational activities and platform optimization initiatives.

Security \& Compliance

Implement secure automation practices including

Secrets Management

Role\-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Pipeline Hardening

Security Scanning

Compliance Validation

Support remediation of security findings and vulnerabilities.

Ensure automation aligns with enterprise governance policies.

Documentation \& Knowledge Sharing

Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Provide guidance and training to engineering teams.

Participate in design reviews and automation best\-practice initiatives.
