Software Engineer III

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges with scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions.
• Design and Development: Design and develop high\-quality PHP applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• System Ownership: Own features and services end\-to\-end, from design through delivery and production support.
• Unit Testing: Design and implement comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Legacy Code Refactoring: Lead efforts to analyze, refactor, and improve legacy systems.
• Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for systems, features, and implementation details.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to code, systems, and development practices
• *Skills and qualifications (mandatory):**

• 5\+ years of professional experience in PHP development
• Strong proficiency in PHP and experience with modern PHP frameworks (preferably Laravel)
• Strong experience building and maintaining web applications and APIs
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems independently
• Experience working with and improving legacy systems
• Strong understanding of unit testing principles and implementation
• Solid grasp of front\-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem\-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment
• Ability to work independently and drive work to completion
• *Skills and qualifications (preferred):**

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue preferred)
• Experience working in healthcare, SaaS, or regulated environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
