Software Engineer

In this role, you'll contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing scalable solutions to coding, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high\-quality software applications.
• Build new features for existing products and contribute to the development of new applications.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well\-documented code.
• Troubleshoot bugs, optimise application performance, and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, UX/UI Designers, and fellow developers to deliver high\-quality solutions.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and third\-party services.
• Design and optimise SQL database queries for performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Support software releases, deployments, and post\-release monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for new features and system enhancements.
• Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, and secure development principles.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: **Java, Python, C\#, JavaScript, or TypeScript**.
• Solid understanding of object\-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Hands\-on experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong debugging, problem\-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience developing microservices\-based applications.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Understanding of software testing frameworks and performance optimisation.
• Experience with modern front\-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of application security and secure coding best practices.
