Software Test Engineer

• *Job Description \-**

We are looking for a detail\-oriented Software Test Engineer with hands\-on experience in manual and automation testing. The candidate should have practical knowledge of Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, API testing, basic SQL, CI/CD pipelines, and AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and AI agents.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases based on project requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end\-to\-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using \*Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript\*.
• Use Page Object Model (POM), reusable utilities, assertions, and test data to build maintainable automation scripts.
• Perform API testing using Postman or Playwright, validating requests, responses, status codes, and error handling.
• Validate database records, CRUD operations, and data consistency using basic SQL queries.
• Identify edge cases, negative scenarios, and defects; document and track issues using JIRA.
• Use Playwright traces, screenshots, and logs to troubleshoot automation failures.
• Use Claude, ChatGPT, and AI agents for test case generation, automation scripting, debugging, and test optimization.
• Execute automated tests through CI/CD pipelines and analyze test results.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues and ensure software quality.

• *Required Skills \& Qualifications**

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing, including manual and automation testing.
• Hands\-on experience with \*Playwright automation testing\*.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, API, and cross\-browser testing.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git, JIRA, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Practical, hands\-on experience using \*Claude, ChatGPT, and AI agents\* for testing\-related tasks.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem\-solving, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6\.
• Basic understanding of application security testing and OWASP Top 10\.
• Familiarity with Docker, mobile application testing, or accessibility testing.
