Software Testing Engineer

• *Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Software Testing Engineer to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of our software products. You will design and execute test plans, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to deliver reliable, high\-quality software before release.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Analyze requirements and specifications to create test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and/or desktop applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
• Automate repetitive test cases using scripting and automation tools.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and reproduce issues.
• Analyze test results and report quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Maintain and update test documentation and traceability.
• Participate in code reviews to provide testability feedback.
• Ensure testing aligns with industry standards and security requirements.

• *Required Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2\+ years of experience in software testing / QA.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC (software testing life cycle).
• Knowledge of testing methodologies (functional, regression, black/white/grey box).
• Experience with bug\-tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Familiarity with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Basic scripting/programming skills (Java, Python, or JavaScript).
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and attention\-to\-detail skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.

• *Preferred (Nice to Have)**

• ISTQB certification.
• Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
