• *Role Overview**

We are looking for an experienced **Software Architect** to define and drive the overall architecture of a highly integrated development toolchain. The role requires strong expertise in software/system integration, cloud architecture, APIs, data, DevOps, and emerging AI technologies.

The architect will independently coordinate **interfaces, data models, technology evolution, and cross\-functional dependencies** to ensure a scalable, secure, and future\-proof platform.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Define and evolve the overall **software and system architecture** of the development toolchain.
• Drive **system integration, APIs, interfaces, data models, and technology roadmap** .
• Design scalable **AWS cloud and container architectures** .
• Drive **MBS\-Simpack / HPC integrations** and complex system interfaces.
• Define data architecture, data flows, and data modeling standards.
• Ensure best practices across **DevOps, CI/CD, security, testing, and observability** .
• Introduce and design **AI\-assisted and agent\-based engineering processes** .
• Implement and integrate agentic solutions on **BMW AI Platforms** .
• Drive effective usage and governance of **GitHub Copilot and Generative AI** for development and testing.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across cross\-functional teams.

• *Required Skills \& Experience**

• Strong experience in **Software Architecture and System Integration** .
• Hands\-on expertise in **AWS, cloud\-native and container architectures** .
• Strong knowledge of **APIs, interfaces, distributed systems, and integration patterns** .
• Experience with **data architecture and data modeling** .
• Strong understanding of **DevOps, CI/CD, security, and software testing** .
• Practical experience with **GitHub Copilot / Generative AI** .
• Knowledge of **AI agents, agentic systems, orchestration, and AI platforms** .
• Experience with **MBS\-Simpack / HPC integration** is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, communication, and stakeholder\-management skills.
• Experience in **automotive or engineering environments** is an advantage.
