5\-8 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation with strong handson automation expertise and functional testing capability

Role Summary

Handson Automation Specialist responsible for developing maintaining and executing Playwrightbased automation across Web API and endtoend business workflows The role will primarily focus on automation engineering while also performing functionalmanual testing test design and defect validation as required

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Playwright automation using JavaScriptTypeScript

Automate WebUI API and endtoend business scenarios across integrated applications

Analyze requirements design test scenarios and identify appropriate candidates for automation

Perform functionalmanual and exploratory testing for scenarios requiring manual validation

Develop reusable automation components and maintain regression suites aligned with enterprise framework standards

Perform automation code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and framework standards

Integrate automated tests with CICD pipelines and support continuous test execution

Analyze automation failures identify defects and support troubleshooting and rootcause analysis

Perform API and backenddata validation using APIs and SQL as required

Collaborate with Test Architects developers DevOps and QE teams to implement reliable automation solutions

Support test estimation execution defect management and release validation

Mandatory Skills

5\-8 years of experience in Quality EngineeringTest Automation

Strong handson expertise in Playwright with JavaScriptTypeScript

Strong experience in WebUI and API automation

Handson functionalmanual testing experience covering requirement analysis test design execution and defect management

Experience testing and automating endtoend business workflows across integrated applications

Strong understanding of web technologies APIs and application integration concepts

Experience developing reusable and maintainable automation scriptscomponents

Experience integrating automated tests with CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps Jenkins GitLab CICD or equivalent

Proficiency with Gitversion control

Working knowledge of SQL for data validation

Strong analytical debugging and problemsolving skills

Good writtenverbal communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

GoodtoHave Skills

Experience with Selenium or other automation frameworks

Experience with BDDCucumber and JavaScript testing libraries such as MochaChai or equivalent

Exposure to Mobile testingautomation using Appium BrowserStack or equivalent

Experience with Azure DevOps Jira Zephyr Xray Sauce Labs or similar testengineering platforms

Experience using GenAIassisted codingtesting tools to accelerate test design and automation development

Exposure to additional programming languages such as Java or Python

A strong automation engineer first with solid Playwright and JavaScriptTypeScript expertise who can also independently perform functional testing understand complex endtoend business scenarios and determine the right coverage across automated and manual testing
