### **About** **The Role**

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Developer with strong expertise in database development, performance tuning, database administration support, and SQL optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing database solutions that support business\-critical applications. This role requires hands\-on experience in SQL development, database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance enhancement, and ensuring data integrity, security, and availability across database environments.

### **Job** **Responsibilities**

• Design, develop, and maintain database objects including Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Packages, and Indexes.
• Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code to support business applications and reporting requirements.
• Implement database schemas, constraints, and rules to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks, long\-running queries, blocking, and deadlocking issues.
• Develop secure database solutions and ensure protection against vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection.
• Create and maintain complex reports and database\-driven solutions for business stakeholders.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategy implementation.
• Participate in requirement gathering and technical discussions to provide effective backend database solutions.
• Monitor database health and performance using tools such as Redgate, Sentry, SQL Profiler, and other monitoring tools.
• Support database migration activities, deployments, and code enhancements.
• Create and maintain databases, tablespaces, indexes, users, roles, permissions, and grants.
• Establish and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Perform regular database maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and promote database development best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend database technologies, features, and improvements beyond Microsoft SQL Server.
• Assist clients and internal teams in developing scalable, reliable, and fit\-for\-purpose database solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures related to database development and administration.

### **Job** **Requirements**

• 4–6 years of experience in SQL Database Development and Database Management.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server database development.
• Proficiency in SQL, T\-SQL, and PL/SQL programming.
• Experience in developing Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Packages, and other database objects.
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Redgate, Sentry, SQL Profiler, and SSMS.
• Hands\-on experience in database migration, deployment, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.
• Good understanding of database security, user management, permissions, and access control.
• Experience with database tools such as SSMS, Profiler, Toad, SSIS, and related technologies.
• Knowledge of relational database concepts, database design principles, and data integrity practices.
• Basic understanding of Database Administration (DBA) activities and operational support.
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross\-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Database certification is an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
