A Day in the Life

Our Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state\-of\-the\-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and Technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Minimed’s Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. • *Key Responsibilities**

• *General Ledger Operations**

• Prepare, review, and post manual journal entries in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure all journal entries are properly supported, approved, and documented.
• Perform month\-end, quarter\-end, and year\-end closing activities within established deadlines.
• Review trial balances and investigate unusual movements or variances.
• Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.

• *Balance Sheet Reconciliations**

• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.
• Monitor aging items and ensure appropriate follow\-up and resolution.
• Support internal controls related to balance sheet governance.

• *Financial Reporting Support**

• Support statutory and management reporting requirements.
• Assist with financial statement analysis and variance explanations.
• Provide accurate financial information to business partners and Controllership.

• *Compliance \& Internal Controls**

• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.
• Follow accounting policies and corporate procedures.
• Maintain complete audit trails and supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audits.

• *Process Improvement**

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and standardization.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and process documentation.

Support system implementations and process transitions.

• *Qualifications**

• *Education**

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.

• *Experience**

• 5–8 years of experience in General Ledger accounting.
• Experience in a multinational company or Shared Services Center.
• Strong month\-end close experience.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Exposure to process transitions and continuous improvement initiatives is an advantage.

• *Technical Skills**

• SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA
• Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with ERP reporting tools
• Experience with reconciliation and consolidation tools (e.g., BlackLine, OneStream) is preferred

• *Knowledge**

• General Ledger accounting
• Month\-end close processes
• Journal entry management
• Accruals and prepayments
• Balance Sheet reconciliation

It is possible this role will require evening\-night shift
