Sr. Architect Draftsman/woman

A Senior Architecture Draftsman for GFC (Good For Construction) is a technical expert responsible for transforming architectural or engineering concepts into final, error\-free construction documents. The "GFC" phase is critical as these are the authorized drawings used by site teams for actual building and execution. \[1, 2] Core Responsibilities

• GFC Drawing Development: Create and finalize comprehensive "Good For Construction" sets, including detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and site\-specific details.
• Technical Detailing: Develop intricate joinery details, ceiling layouts, flooring elevations, and structural/MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) integration drawings.
• Coordination \& Clash Detection: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants to ensure all systems align without physical overlaps (clashes).
• Quality \& Compliance: Review drawings for accuracy and ensure they comply with local building bylaws, NBC (National Building Code), and fire safety norms.
• Team Leadership: Guide junior draftsmen, conduct internal audits of drawing sets, and manage the library of revisions and as\-built drawings.
• Site Support: Assist on\-site teams with drawing interpretations, measurements, and material take\-offs (BOQs).

Key Skills \& Software

• Advanced AutoCAD: Expertise in 2D drafting and 3D modeling is essential.
• BIM Proficiency: Familiarity with Autodesk Revit (Architecture/Structure/MEP) and Navisworks for modern project workflows.
• Technical Software: Basic knowledge of SketchUp, MS Office, and occasionally Photoshop or Pre\-DCR for municipal approvals.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, interior execution workflows, and architectural standards.

Qualifications \& Experience

• Education: Usually a Diploma in Civil/Architecture Assistantship, an ITI Certificate in Draftsmanship, or a Degree in Architecture/Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Typically 6–12 years in a similar drafting role, specifically focusing on construction documentation and site coordination.

Pay: ₹25,000\.00 \- ₹40,000\.00 per month
