Data Insights Studio is a Global BI Engineering team that drives scalable, and reusable business intelligence capabilities across regions and functions by establishing standards \& frameworks. The team partners with business, product, data engineering, and technology teams to deliver high\-quality scalable BI Solution, semantic models, automation/productivity, and analytics products that improve decision\-making and operational efficiency.
- You will be a hands\-on technical architect and senior individual contributor in BI Engineering within Visa’s Global Data \& AI organization, reporting to the Lead, Data Insights Studio.
- You will operate from our Global Shared Services hub in Bengaluru, partnering with various Consulting and internal Data Science teams to deliver high\-impact BI solutions across products and markets.
- You will be responsible to design scalable, reusable data solutions, drive engineering standards and best practices, and driving framework‑led development to improve efficiency, quality, and speed of delivery across the data ecosystem
- *P****r****imary****responsibilities**
- Establish BI Engineering architecture standards and reusable frameworks for dashboards, reports, semantic models, datasets, pipelines, KPIs/metrics, documentation, and performance.
- Establish BI Lifecycle management and certification by identifying duplicate reports, defining trusted\-report criteria, and improving report discoverability.
- Drive utilization of governed semantic layers, certified datasets, and reusable reporting models to ensure consistent KPIs, business rules, lineage, and metric documentation.
- Enable low\-code, configuration\-driven, automation and **AI\-assisted BI capabilities** through reusable templates, metadata\-driven patterns, and analytical reporting.
- Manage BI COE intake, prioritization, roadmap planning, and delivery governance across initiatives, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Partner with business, product, and technology teams to convert business needs into scalable BI products and reporting solutions.
- Support cloud migration and BI platform modernization by defining migration guidance, architecture, improving performance, and aligning solutions to cloud standards.
- Embed data quality, security, privacy, lineage, access control, and auditability into BI delivery and governance processes.
- Support the global BI Engineering Community of Practice by sharing best practices, enabling training, and promoting consistent engineering discipline.

- 10\-12 years of work experience in BI/DE field
- 6\+ years of experience managing technical architecture, tooling and design systems for BI development
- Familiarity with shared services, consulting, financial services is a strong plus.
- Expert knowledge of data visualization tool ecosystem, genAI utilization in BI and common open\-source technologies
- Solid engineering foundations with CI/CD for BI, code/data reviews, testing, and observability, proven UI/UX experience
- *Technical skill**
- BI Tool: Expert in Tableau and Power BI, including enterprise dashboarding, advanced analytics, and embedded delivery.
- Architecture \& Integration: Design end\-to\-end BI architecture (data ingestion modeling visualization) with REST APIs, embedded analytics, and automated reporting.
- Programming \& Data Processing: Strong SQL, PySpark, HiveQL; experience with Hadoop, AWS EMR, NoSQL databases.
- Data Pipelines \& Orchestration: Proficient with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, data quality, and performance optimization.
- DevOps for BI: Skilled in Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and automated BI asset testing.
- Front\-End \& Advanced Visualization: Familiar with React, micro‑frontends, and MicroStrategy
