The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in a billing modernization initiative, focusing on the backend systems for current and future billing and invoicing needs. This position centers on development and integrations, requiring a smooth transition from existing vendors while supporting the client's strategic roadmap. Core technical proficiency is needed in Java and Spring Boot, along with experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs and GraphQL. The role involves working with Google Cloud Platform services, specifically Apigee, and designing event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub and messaging tools. A strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and secure coding practices is essential. Key duties include enhancing the billing backend infrastructure, participating in critical knowledge transfer processes during vendor transition, and taking ownership of the design, development, and maintenance of these systems to ensure long-term stability and scalability.
