Oracle Communications – 5G Core Network Functions Test \& Deployment Engineer

Focus: SCP, NRF, SEPP

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Oracle Communications 5G Core Network Functions Test \& Deployment Engineer to support testing, deployment, upgrade, integration, and validation activities for Oracle 5G Core Network Functions, mainly SCP, NRF, and SEPP.

The candidate should have good understanding of 5G SA Core architecture, Service\-Based Architecture, SCP configuration, NRF registration/discovery, SEPP roaming/interconnect, and 5G SBA communication models, especially Model\-C and Model\-D.

Key Responsibilities

Perform functional, integration, regression, upgrade, and interoperability testing for SCP, NRF, and SEPP.

Support deployment, configuration, upgrade, and troubleshooting of Oracle cloud\-native 5G Core applications.

Validate SCP routing, NF service routing, load balancing, failover, and delegated discovery.

Validate NRF registration, discovery, heartbeat, NF profile, and service availability.

Validate SEPP inter\-PLMN roaming, N32 interface, secure communication, and TLS/mTLS\-based connectivity.

Execute and troubleshoot 5G SBA call flows using HTTP/2, REST APIs, TLS/mTLS, JSON/YAML.

Validate Model\-C and Model\-D communication flows through SCP.

Work on Kubernetes/OpenShift environments for CNF deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Analyze logs, traces, packet captures, KPIs, alarms, and application metrics.

Prepare test plans, test cases, validation reports, RCA inputs, and customer\-facing technical updates.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of 5G SA Core architecture and 3GPP SBA.

Hands\-on or good working knowledge of Oracle SCP, NRF, and SEPP.

Good understanding of related NFs such as AMF, SMF, PCF, UDM, UDR, AUSF, NSSF, and NEF.

Knowledge of SCP configuration, routing rules, delegated discovery, NF selection, and service routing.

Understanding of Model\-C and Model\-D communication models.

Knowledge of SEPP roaming/interconnect, N32 interface, TLS/mTLS, and topology hiding.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker/Containers, Helm charts, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Services, and Pods.

Troubleshooting experience using kubectl, helm, curl, openssl, tcpdump, Wireshark, logs, and traces.

Basic scripting knowledge in Shell and Python.

Nice to Have

Experience with Oracle 5G Core deployments.

Experience in customer lab, production, upgrade, or migration activities.

Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch/Kibana, Fluentd, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Linux administration.

Understanding of certificate management, PKI, TLS/mTLS, and cloud platforms such as Openstack, Openshift ,VMWare, BareMetal
