• *Roles \& Responsibilities**

• Provide **technical leadership** and guidance to developers and QA engineers.
• Drive solution design, technical decisions, code quality and engineering best practices.
• Partner with Product teams to translate business requirements into **low\-level technical requirements, technical stories and estimates**.
• Lead design/code reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable.
• Own technical resolution of complex production issues and **security vulnerabilities**, including application, runtime and open\-source dependencies.
• Drive engineering metrics covering quality, automation, security, technical debt and delivery predictability.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, Security and Cloud/DevOps teams.
• Mentor engineers and build strong technical capabilities within the team.

• *Education \& Experience**
• --------------------------

• Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology** or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• **10\+ years** of software engineering experience with **3\+ years in a technical leadership role** preferred.
• Proven experience leading technically complex solutions and providing technical direction to cross\-functional engineering teams.

• *Technical Expertise**
• ----------------------

• Strong hands\-on experience with **React.js, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and GraphQL**.
• Experience with **PostgreSQL** and **Solr** or similar search technologies.
• Strong cloud experience, particularly **AWS Lambda, RDS and S3**, with exposure to **Microsoft Azure**.
• Good understanding of REST/API design, distributed systems and cloud\-native architectures.
• Experience with **CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, performance optimisation and production troubleshooting**.
• Strong understanding of web/API security, secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience designing and supporting scalable **customer\-facing web applications**.
