We are looking for a Semi\-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Inter/IPCC qualified) with experience in audit, taxation, accounting, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling and assisting in statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, financial statement finalization, and various corporate and regulatory compliance assignments for listed and unlisted entities across diverse industries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct statutory audits of listed and unlisted companies in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, applicable Accounting Standards (AS), Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Standards on Auditing (SAs), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform audit planning, risk assessment, preparation of audit programs, execution of audit procedures, substantive testing, analytical review procedures, and audit documentation.
- Verify and review books of account, financial records, accounting entries, supporting documents, and statutory records maintained by clients.
- Evaluate and test internal financial controls (IFC) and internal control systems and report deficiencies, observations, and recommendations.
- Assist in preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Statement of Profit and Loss, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity, and notes to accounts.
- Draft audit reports, limited review reports, management representation letters, management letters, and other audit\-related documentation.
- Conduct tax audits under the Income\-tax Act, 1961 and prepare tax audit reports in prescribed forms.
- Review tax computations, deferred tax calculations, TDS compliances, advance tax calculations, and other direct tax matters.
- Assist in preparation and filing of income tax returns for companies, firms, LLPs, and other entities.
- Conduct internal audits covering financial, operational, compliance, and process audits across various sectors.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, control weaknesses, compliance gaps, and business risks and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare internal audit reports, risk assessment reports, compliance review reports, and management presentations.
- Finalize books of accounts, including scrutiny and reconciliation of ledger accounts, bank accounts, statutory dues, receivables, payables, fixed assets, inventory, loans, and investments.
- Review accounting treatment of transactions and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Handle GST compliance matters, including return reviews, reconciliations, annual returns, GST audits, and advisory support.
- Assist in ROC compliance matters, including preparation and filing of annual forms, event\-based forms, maintenance of statutory registers, and compliance under the Companies Act, 2013\.
- Review compliance with SEBI regulations, Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR), corporate governance requirements, and other regulations applicable to listed entities.
- Monitor compliance with applicable labour laws, professional tax regulations, and other statutory laws relevant to business operations.
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations, working papers, MIS reports, and management reports required during audits and financial reporting assignments.
- Conduct research on accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate, and regulatory matters and provide technical support to engagement teams.
- Ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining professional standards, confidentiality, and quality requirements.
- Keep abreast of amendments in the Companies Act, Income\-tax Act, GST laws, SEBI regulations, FEMA provisions, Accounting Standards, Ind AS, Standards on Auditing, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervise and guide article assistants, junior team members, and trainees in execution of assignments.
- Participate in client meetings, discussions, presentations, and business development initiatives as and when required.
REQUIRED SKILLS \& KNOWLEDGE
Strong knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013 and related rules.
Working knowledge of SEBI Regulations, FEMA, Income\-tax Act, GST laws, and other corporate laws.
Sound understanding of Accounting Standards (AS), Ind AS, and Standards on Auditing.
Experience in statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, financial statement finalization, and regulatory compliances.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tally, and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical, documentation, report\-writing, communication, and client management skills.
Ability to independently handle multiple assignments and work within stringent timelines.
QUALIFICATION
CA Intermediate/IPCC qualified (Semi\-Qualified Chartered Accountant).
Minimum 3\-4 years of experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm handling audit, taxation, accounting, and compliance assignments.
Pay: ₹20,000\.00 \- ₹30,000\.00 per month
